It was just a couple of days ago that we reported that the YouTube client for Windows Phone 8 developed by Microsoft was back on the Windows Phone Store. Unfortunately, that app is no longer usable because Google has remotely blocked access through it.
This has resulted in Microsoft releasing a long blog post detailing why the app was removed and how, in their words, the reasons were “manufactured” so that the Windows Phone version could not offer the same experience as the Android or iPhone app. Read more »
You may remember Microsoft recently updated the YouTube app for Windows Phone 8 and made it into a proper app and not just a bookmark for launching the mobile version before. Those lead to different strengths, like much better bokeh effect from the Lumia 1020, while the S4 zoom is true to its name and wins hands down when it comes to zoom. Read more »

The Nokia Lumia 1020 is in a league of its own when it comes to mobile imaging – it trumps the competition in low-light conditions, heck it doesn’t do half bad against full-fledged shooters like the Canon 60D DSLR. It could only be challenged on a handheld phone by its brother in imaging technology the Nokia 808 PureView, although it still has the upper hand thanks to its optical image stabilization.
Ever wondered what happens behind the scenes when you click the Lumia 1020 shutter key? Well now you have a chance to see as Nokia has posted an incredibly well designed video, showing the whole process. The video is so cool that it’s worth checking out even if you aren’t particularly interested in the Lumia 1020. Read more »
