The folks over at M.I.C Gadget claim they’ve obtained some of the structural parts of the iPad 3. Namely, most of the exterior like the front glass panel, the aluminum back cover and cables for the dock connector and volume rocker. Read more »

It looks like Foxconn’s manufacturing plants have already finished the initial rounds of iPad 3s expected to grace the world in the coming months and word has it, Apple’s next tablet is already en route to the States.

User ‘dragon974′ of the droidrazr.com forums had some interesting images to share with his fellow Droid users yesterday as the screens released show what could well be a build of Android 4.0.3 running on his Motorola Droid RAZR.

Drive (as in what’s in your computer, not what you do with your car), will potentially allow you to store a certain amount of data online, with the idea that it be accessible from any location with internet access, as well as via other devices you own. Read more »

RIM to unveil PlayBook OS 2.0 at the MWC later this month?

While this release was supposedly scheduled for tomorrow, it seems like RIM will be waiting an extra 10 or so days to release the much-anticipated update at the Mobile World Congress.

Wall Street Journal: 8-inch iPad in testing

Fill this in under unlikely, but we just heard that an 8″ iPad might be happening soon. According to Wall Street Journal’s sources the company is in the advanced stages of testing a smaller version of its wildly popular slate.

The 8″ iPad is said to have the same resolution as the iPad 2, namely 1024 x 768 pixels. That information was reportedly confirmed by two of Apple’s suppliers, who delivered the panels for testing purposes. Read more »

iPad 3 to be announced on March 7, expected to have 4G LTE, Retina display, quad-core processor and new camera

A bunch of new rumors have surfaced about the soon-to-be-launched iPad 3. First, iMore is reporting that the iPad 3 will launch on Wednesday, March 7, which is just three weeks from now, which was then confirmed by The Loop. They are also saying that the iPad 3 will have a 2,048 x 1,536 Retina display and a quad-core A6 processor. Lastly, they mentioned that it will also have 4G LTE connectivity, but they seemed less sure about this.

The Wall Street Journal has now come out and confirmed that last bit of information. According to their latest report, the iPad 3 will have 4G LTE connectivity on both Verizon and AT&T’s networks. Read more »

Nokia Lumia 800 camera update in the works

It’s almost certain that the Lumia 800 won’t be the Nokia flagship once the company’s MWC press conference comes, but that doesn’t mean it won’t get any more love from its maker. On the contrary – the company is about to release a camera update for the WP smartphone.

Apple iOS 5.1 coming on March 9?

Recently published operator profiles by Apple refer to iOS 5.1 and a release date of March 9, 2012. The profiles are intended for various operators in Japan, France, Finland, Greece and Sweden and will make sure the iPhones will connect to the specific network after an update.

The iOS 5.1 update has been in the works for quite some time, its third beta has already been seeded to the developers but there is nothing official on the launch date yet. Read more »

This is not the Galaxy S II Plus you’re looking for

Today our inbox was flooded with tips about a leaked image of what is supposedly a new Galaxy phone, namely the Galaxy S II Plus. Upon closer inspection, we can see some telltale signs of photo manipulation which lead us to believe that the image is most likely fake.

The photo, originally published on mobile-review.com editor-in-chief Elder Murtazin’s twitter page, shows some blatant inconsistencies with what we know about the upcoming ICS TouchWiz interface, among other things. Read more »

Samsung Galaxy Tab 11.6 might be announced at the MWC, could pack 2GHz Exynos 5250 and S-Pen

With the MWC closing in, the rumors of what will (or won’t) be announced are all over the place. One of the more consistent rumors is that Samsung will announce the Galaxy Tab 11.6 Android tablet.

The name suggests a 11.6″ screen, but according to the rumors, the tablet itself won’t be much larger than the Tab 10.1. The screen will supposedly have a whopping WQXGA resolution (2560×1600). Read more »
