It is unclear yet if the new home-brewed Apple CPU will bring the revolutionary performance they promise, but rumors that it isn’t as much of an Apple home-brewed technology as it is made to be already started flooding the web.
At the end it might turn the Apple A4 is nothing else but a system-on-a-chip with embedded ARM Cortex A9 dual-core processor. Read more »
These days you might have spotted quite a few leaked images of the rumored CDMA-compatible HTC Supersonic. Well, today we have the best one so far to show you. The phone looks like an HD2 clone and guess what, according to the rumors, the similarities between both devices don’t end up with the design.
The guys over at LetsGoDigital have got some pretty detailed info (not to mention some downright official looking footage) on four upcoming FujiFilm digital cameras. The company will reinforce its superzoom portforlio with three new offerings and will throw in an affordable ultra-compact in the mix.
The FujiFilm FinexPix S2500HD, as the name suggests will record 720p HD video and will come with 18x zoom lens, covering the range from 28 to 504mm in 35mm equivalent. Read more »
It’s still at the proof of concept stages so don’t get too excited about it but apparently the Nokia N900 is perfectly capable of running the Android OS. As proven by the video after the break the hacker has enabled the cool QWERTY-equipped side-slider to run the two open-source platforms in a dual-boot mode.
I’m not particularly sure if going from Maemo to Android is an upgrade or downgrade as they both have their advantages but Read more »
I just stumbled upon a pretty nice roundup of all rumors about what the next iPhone could be. As you may have heard Apple prepares a big event on 27th January and most of the rumors point they will announce the first Apple Tablet (most probably named iSlate or iPad or iTablet) along with possibly the fourth generation iPhone OS. The announcement of the 4th generation iPhone is still way ahead in the future (possibly summer as usual), but that doesn’t mean there already isn’t a good pile of rumored features and specs.
7 days to go until January 27 when Apple’s heavily rumored tablet will see daylight for the first time (or so I hope, at least). Or maybe it already did: while digging in the web I found a pretty intriguing video of a device which is said to be the iSlate. I don’t know how I let this one slip by but it looks pretty interesting to see.
WinMo fans rejoice! Not only are the rumors of the delay of Windows Mobile 7 for next year most probably false, but also the first two devices to pack the new OS are hotter than hell. And as it turns out we will actually be seeing two different version of the Windows Mobile 7 – Business Edition and Media Edition. The Business edition will be a trimmed down version that will have lower specs’ requirements (although the screen still needs to be WVGA at the least), while the Media edition will be all about multimedia playback and social network integration.
As rumor has it, LG Apollo and HTC Obsession will be the two pioneers of the new OS. LG Apollo is said to run on a 1.3GHz Qualcomm QSD8650 CPU and pack 1GB of RAM. The AMOLED display will measure 3.8” and will sport XGA resolution (1280 x 720 pixels). Read more »
Microsoft plans to launch the 6.6 update for their Windows Mobile OS next month bringing capacitive touchscreen support, among other performance optimizations and bug fixes.
The official announcement of the new version will most probably take place at the MWC 2010 in February in Barcelona.
The Samsung Corby line is growing by the minute – yet another one poped out, although unofficially. It brings a new form factor as well – meet the Samsung W930 a.k.a. Samsung Corby Folder.
The Samsung Corby Folder, as the name implies, is a clamshell, unlike Read more »
In a recent interview Motorola’s CEO, Sanjay Jha, revealed that the company will release more multi-touch enabled devices in the future. However, it is still unknown whether those will reach the shores of the United States.
HTC Google Nexus One is a superphone, indeed. And it seemed to have all it takes to become a market hit as well. But apperently something went wrong, because the start of its sales is seriously short of impressive? As it turns out only around 20 000 Nexus One Android smartphones have been sold during the first week after the official market launch of the device.
So, if this trend keeps up, the Google’s first smartphone might just fail to set the world alight. Let me remind you that analysts expected 5 to 6 million Nexus Ones to be sold by the end of the year. Read more »
iSlate may be the proper name for the long rumored Apple tablet. MacRumors posted an evidence for the Apple’s ownership of many international iSlate domains including iSlate.com and iSlate.co.uk.
I’ve seen screenshots of a facelift version of Windows Mobile 6.5 before, which itself is a facelift version of an aging OS. Now, the Internet rumor mill strikes again and delivers screenshots of a newer version WinMo version – v6.5.3.
They actually show a UI that seem better suited for thumb operation, not just larger versions of the old controls.
I’ve been hearing those rumors lately that Apple have a cheaper 8GB version of the latest 3GS ready in the oven. The sources are nothing in particular, but they add up, you know – and they come from various places. Now there’s not anything specific about market availability, but we sure hope that there will be some of those in stores around our parts on time for Christmas.
Obviously, there are one too many things to consider here. For one, Christmas coincides with the 6-month cycle that Apple usually uses for lowering their current models pricing. Introducing a new lower-spec’d model of the same generation actually sounds credible when you look at it this way. But you can bet there’s more to it. Read more »
