Apple has started sending new test iPhone 4 units to some game developers letting them prepare their products for the next generation iPhone. The test units are no different than the iPhone 4 on the outside, but on the inside, there is a spanking new Apple A5 dual-core chip.

Okay we got carried away a bit there with the title. You see the video-capable Skype for Android version really appeared online, but it seems unable to run on anything, but the HTC Thunderbolt. So unless you have purchased the LTE-packing smartphone, you will need to wait for the official version or at least another leak to experience the video-call goodies of the new droid Skype.
Anyway we got to see the first review of the application thanks to the guys at AndroidCommunity.com. Except for the addition of video-calling to other mobile users and desktop clients alike there isn’t too many updates brought by the new version. The iOS 5 is likely to be released in the fall instead this June at the WWDC. There are a few reasons to believe so and the first one is we heard nothing about a new iOS version around the iPad 2 announcement.
Then there is this thing about the Apple’s change of strategy about the MobileMe services and their possible integration with the iOS 5 – which is a lot of work to achieve.
For such a minor manufacturer Archos certainly brings plenty of innovation to the table. The Archos 70 and 101 tablets were pretty exciting already with their slim waistlines and remarkable feature to price ratio, but it seems the best is still to come.
