Google Helpouts is a brand new service from Google that will let you get help on any topic you want from real people over the internet through a video call. The service offers you a bunch of topics to choose from and you can also type in what you need help with.

Helpouts then presents you with options that match your query. You will see a list of Helpouts that you can choose from that best match your query, with the name of the people who will be conducting the call. At yesterday’s Google event, the company announced a slew of new features for their Google+ social networking service, along with the Hangouts messaging service.

In the new update, the service automatically scans your photos and sorts them by categories such as sunsets, snow, etc. by identifying over a thousand objects within the images to make searching for your photos easier. Google already offers handwriting input in its Mobile Search, Google Translate (on web, Android and iOS) and in Chrome but it’s now adding it to its Gmail and Google Drive services.

Motorola’s MotoMaker, the online software that let’s you customize the Moto X (currently only in the US and so far only on AT&T) has a fresh new feature that will appeal to Moto X converts coming from iOS.

Google launched its own music streaming services at its I/O event this summer. The Google Play Music All Access has been exclusive to the Android platform since then, but we might soon see a native Google Music app for iOS, according to a report from Engadget.

Google was expected to update its own tracking service, known as Android Device Manager with the remote locking feature. The newest security option is now available on the ADM dashboard and you can remotely lock your smartphone from the web interface.

Google recently launched its own service, which allows you to locate your misplaced Android smartphone and to protect your privacy if your device is stolen. Initially, the latest service came with ability to locate your smartphone on Google Maps via the Device Manager website.
