Razer has announced two new products for the gaming populace. The first is a keyboard called DeathStalker that comes with Razer’s Switchblade UI on a touchscreen display placed next to the keyboard. We first saw this UI on Razer’s Switchblade concept and then on the Razer Blade laptop and the Star Wars: The Old Republic gaming keyboard.
The DeathStalker keyboard comes with the same basic system that has ten configurable keys on top to which you can assign any function. There are not a lot of games on the App Store that can fall under the ‘interactive comedy’ category. In fact, I’m pretty sure The Act is the only one of its kind right now.
The Act was originally launched as an arcade game back in 2007 but was later cancelled. It was then ported over to iOS and published by Chillingo Ltd. The game has been available on the App Store for a while now for $2.99 but is being sold for a dollar for a limited time, so we thought we should give it a try and see how this new method of gameplay is. The original Crysis game, which came out back in the distant 2007, is still used as a benchmark for graphics card performance. The graphics in that game were so ahead of their time that you’ll still find it difficult to run the game maxed out at high resolutions and get 60 fps (of course, not the least due to the game’s poor optimization).
Crysis 2 in comparison was nowhere near as taxing as the first one but with the DirectX 11 patch and high resolution texture pack for the PC it would still push your graphics card to its limits while delivering stunning visuals.
From the short trailers we had seen in the past we know the third iteration in the series was going to look even better. But now Crytek has released a new tech trailer for CryEngine 3 that demoes the various new visual effects in all their glory and should send lesser graphics cards running for cover. Read more »

Rovio is hard at work on an update to its Angry Birds Space game. The update is simply called “Red Planet”, and is pretty suggestive as to what it will contain.
Back in June, Angry Birds Space marked its 100th milion download, so it’s only logical for Rovio to build on the title’s success. The company also issued a teaser video for the update, which, naturally, doesn’t reveal much. Read more »
