Angry Birds Season has been updated to match the just started summer (the astronomical season). The new Summer Pignic update works the same way as the Christmas one – as each day passes, we’ll get a new level to tackle.
The Summer Pignic update will include a total of 30 levels plus at least two bonus ones (from a golden egg and the one that unlocks when you get three stars on all levels). Read more »
Update: EA has pulled down the download links for the patch. It will now be made available on Monday, June 27.
So it’s like this. Crysis 2 for PC was supposed to come with DirectX 11 graphics but upon launch it was discovered that the game actually runs on DirectX 9, not even 10. EA had promised an update soon but it started to look like they didn’t care any more. Of course we all know why that is. They have to sell the console version of the game as well and you can’t have the PC version looking a lot better.
But it seems now EA has finally got around to releasing that DirectX 11 patch that they promised long ago. Exactly three months after the game released. And by now anyone who ever wanted to play the game is already done playing it.
For what it’s worth, the patch does bring some notable improvements. Read more »
Some of us like to play a video game when we have some free time. There are others, however, who create video games in their free times. Then there are some, who like to go a step ahead and play their games on paper that is constantly being pushed out by a receipt printer and a projector.
That’s exactly what undef and Joshua Noble did. They had spare time, they had the skills and they had everything they needed for their project. And so they made a game using a receipt printer, a projector, a PlayStation 3 controller and a laptop. Read more »
Good news for those with Nvidia Tegra based Android devices. Galaxy on Fire 2 THD is now available for you to download free of cost from the Android Market. This is the special version for Nvidia Tegra devices but there is also a version for other devices which is paid.
Now Galaxy on Fire is a gorgeous looking game and I’m glad for all the Tegra based device owners. But I can see a trend starting here that worries me a bit. Read more »
As Rovio promised the next Angry Birds update is already available for download. It’s called Mine and Dine and gives us the beginning of a brand new sixth chapter.
The Mine and Dine update brings the first 15 levels of the new chapter, a new way to battle pigs (you get hanging stalactites in addition to the TNTs) and most probably there is a new golden egg somewhere. Read more »
No, it’s not what it sounds like. Rovio, the developer of Angry Birds, isn’t using some sort of Apple PR talk to make it’s top selling game more interesting. Angry Birds Magic, if you remembered, is an NFC-based addition to Angry Birds which allows you to unlock special levels by tapping two NFC-enabled phones together.
Now Rovio is taking Magic one step further with special location-aware integration in Angry Birds. When you go to your favorite cafeteria, for example, you might be offered to unlock some cool stuff. Read more »
Today the world is coming to an end. All Hell is freezing. Pigs can fly. Many of you will sell their soul to the devil to repay those bets they’ve made years ago. Yes, it’s been 14 long years, but it’s finally here.
Duke Nukem Forever is out. And I’ve secured the special Balls of Steel edition in all of its glory – and here comes the unboxing on video.
We told you about the Android-exclusive third-person shooter game SHADOWGUN last month, but then we could only admire the screenshots. Now, however, the developer Madfinger Games has released a three-minute trailer, which honestly will make you wonder how could this possibly be played on Android.
The answer to this is NVIDIA’s upcoming quad-core Tegra Kal-El chipset, which gets a lot of attention lately and for a reason. SHADOWGUN takes full advantage of the advanced graphic capabilities of the Kal-El chipset and as you can see from the trailer below runs more than well utilizing the four cores like it should. To the max. Read more »
The E3 game expo is now over, sadly, but come on, it continue for month. However, now it’s time to replace the tears of sadness with tears of joy.

There is no doubt that Angry Birds is possibly the greatest mobile video game yet. It is simple, yet addictive – I have personally wasted hours of my time in pursuit of the coveted three stars for each level. What is happening lately with Rovio’s creation though is even more impressive – it appears that the game has already become a part of today’s pop culture. The latest commercial from T-Mobile is a living proof of this fact – it brings the popular characters from the video game to life in the middle of Barcelona.
As you can see, the live setup is quite impressive. There is a booth with a smartphone in the middle Read more »
I must admit, I wasn’t impressed by the Nintendo Wii U when it was announced a couple of days back at the E3 2011. And the way Nintendo’s shares are going down, neither is anyone else. And now Firemint, the company that created the popular iOS game Real Racing 2 HD will be bringing wireless FullHD gaming over AirPlay to your TV screen, a feature that will kick devices like the Wii U squarely in the nuts.
Now currently, Real Racing 2 HD is able to stream 1080p output from an iPad 2 to a TV screen through the HDMI connection but with iOS 5 developers will be able to stream the same output wirelessly to an Apple TV using the new AirPlay Mirroring function in iOS 5. Read more »
After the unveiling of their next generation console, the Wii U, at E3 2011, Nintendo Co. shares fell down by 5.7% on Wednesday, their lowest in the past five year. As of mid-day Thursday, they are still down by 5.2%. Clearly people are not taking a liking to the new console.
The problem, according to the analysts, is that the product itself isn’t bad but it just failed to meet people’s expectations, which were rather high following the phenomenal success of the Wii. The market is also evolving at a rapid pace Read more »
