Other than being a great game, Rockstar’s Grand Theft Auto IV for PC is also known for being extremely moddable, with a ton of mods released since the game was released back in the day. iCEnhancer has been one of them and focuses mainly on the game’s visuals. And what a job it does.
With the release of the v2.5 Alpha, the developers have turned the eye-candy all the way up to almost photorealistic levels. The textures, the lighting and the reflections are at a whole new level altogether, with some motion blur and depth of field added for good measure. Read more »
Old school gamers here will probably remember Karateka very well. Created by Jordan Mechner, the same guy who created the original Prince of Persia game, Karateka is one of the most popular 8-bit games of all time.
Now, 28 years after the game first debuted on an Apple II, the original developer, along with a small team, has created a remake for the Xbox, PS3, PC and iOS. After selling over 150 million units world wide since it went on sale almost 13 years ago, the old warhorse PlayStation 2, it seems, is now finally making an exit. According to Famitsu, Sony has stopped shipping the console to retailers in Japan.

Gameloft’s Modern Combat series of games have gained a bit of infamy for being heavily based on Call of Duty games. Still, despite that fact, one can’t deny that these have always been some of the best first person shooters on mobile.
The last one, Modern Combat 3: Fallen Nation was a particularly good game and with the latest one, Modern Combat 4: Zero Hour, Gameloft seems to have turned every dial to eleven to produce, at least on paper, one of the best first person shooters on the mobile platform.
