‘Call of Duty: Ghosts’ announced, watch the teaser trailer here

After a bout of rumors, leaked images and a teaser on Instagram, Activision has finally announced the next installment in the Call of Duty series – Call of Duty: Ghosts.

After a cadence of alternatively releasing Modern Warfare and Black Ops games, one would have expected the next game in the series to bear the Modern Warfare name (since the last game was Black Ops II). However, developer Infinity Ward has decided to go in a new direction, and as such Ghosts is a completely new series altogether. Read more »

Fond of minimalist but ridiculously challenging games? Here’s another one for you. Created by Marcus Persson, the guy who made the insanely popular Minecraft, Drop is a browser-based game that will test your familiarity with your keyboard and your patience.

The premise of the game is simple. You have a constant stream of letters appearing before you and you have to type the letters on your keyboard. Enter it correctly and you can move on to the next letter. Read more »

Fieldrunners 2 finally available on Android

The iPhone and iPod Touch users were privileged to be among the first to get Fieldrunners 2, the sequel to one of the most popular titles in the tower defense genre. Later the game was made available for the iPad too and even the PC users got it via Steam.

‘Draw Something 2′ hits the App Store

The sequel to the highly popular game Draw Something is now available for download. The game is currently available only on the App Store and for the iPhone and iPod touch. You can either go for the free version with ads or the premium version for $2.99.

For those who are not aware, Draw Something is a game where you are given a word and you have to draw it on the screen using the various tools available to you. Your opponent then has to guess the drawing and name the word using the letters available to them. Read more »

Next generation Xbox to be revealed on May 21

Xbox fans, mark your calendars. Microsoft has announced that they will be revealing the next generation Xbox console on May 21. This information was revealed through invites that were sent out to the press.

‘Cut the Rope: Time Travel’ for iOS and Android game review

The original Cut the Rope has been a rousing success. Known for its simple yet challenging gameplay and adorable animation style, the game was a hit with all age groups. It later spawned a sequel in the form of Cut the Rope: Experiments, which introduced new levels and gameplay mechanics.

Now, a year and a half after Experiments came out, developers ZeptoLab have released the third installment in the series, labelled Cut the Rope: Time Travel. Trailer for Iron Man 3 game from Gameloft promises to put you in control of 18 different suits

Cut the Rope: Time Travel hits the App Store [Update: Now on Play Store as well]

The folks at Zeptolab have released the newest installment in the series of Cut the Rope games. Called Cut the Rope: Time Travel, this new game includes the familiar gameplay of the previous two games but includes some new mechanics and characters.

The theme of the game, as you can tell is time travel. The game’s main character Om Nom has gone back in time and has come across its ancestors. The game now features not one but two little monsters with a candy for each and you have to feed both of them. And as before, you have three stars to collect. The game carries over a few mechanics from the previous two games but there are several new ones as well. Read more »

Real Racing 3 for Android updated with new cars and events, cloud save

The Android version of Real Racing 3, an action packed racing game from Electronic Arts has just received a major update. The new release comes with 2 new cars, namely Chevrolet Cobalt SS and the Camaro ZL1.

Ouya team speeds up production, last dev units should ship by late May

The developer version of the Ouya game console has been shipping to Kickstarter backers for a couple of weeks now but some eager devs are still questioning the Ouya team about when they’ll get theirs. The team responded with an update saying they’ve already optimized things by changing one of their partners, a change that will shorten the wait by a few days.

The number of consoles shipped per day is on the rise and the plan is to keep increasing the pace. The chart above shows Ouya’s predictions of how many deliveries will be made by the end of the month. Read more »
