Only a few days into this year several Asus tablets leaked – a couple of 7” models and a 10” one. The 7-inchers are already official, but their larger sibling is not. Its press images come ahead of the official announcement though, so here’s the Asus ME301T MemoPad 10.

Sony holding a PlayStation event on February 20 to announce the PS4

by 46 comments

Sony has released a teaser video for the PlayStation event that they will be holding later this month on Wednesday, February 20.

It won’t be much of a teaser if it revealed everything, so as you can imagine the video does not show much other than the four PlayStation button icons swirling around on the screen with the big date being displayed towards the end that doesn’t allude to anything. But according to The Wall Street Journal, the event is definitely about the PlayStation 4, or whatever Sony decides to call it. Read more »

by 43 comments

For some reason, Samsung decided not to bring its Ativ S Windows Phone 8 flagship to the United States. Instead, the Korean giant released the Verizon Exclusive, LTE toting, and seriously pocketable Samsung Ativ Odyssey.

Xolo X500 and its Intel Atom Z2420 CPU get benchmarked, get pretty good scores

by 27 comments

Xolo X500, which was launched a week ago in India, has just been benchmarked. The smartphone is designed for emerging markets with low cost at higher priority than stellar performance, but it did surprisingly well.

Perhaps a part of the explanation is that the Intel chip also uses its hyper threading technology, which has better multi-tasking ability. The smartphone is powered by a 1.2 GHz Intel Atom Lexington Z2420 processor along with Power VR SGX540 GPU. Read more »

Samsung’s marketing push has been getting stronger and stronger recently, so it’s no surprise that the company will air one of its ads during Super Bowl. In fact the company just released a short version of the 2 minute ad, which you can check out below.
