Sony announces ‘my Xperia’ service for finding your lost Xperia device

Sony has announced a new service for their range of Xperia smartphones, called my Xperia. The beta version of the service will roll out to a few devices initially before it is available to all Xperia devices out there.

my Xperia works similar to Apple’s Find My iPhone and all other similar services out there. Once it’s available on your device, you log on to the service by visiting myxperia.sonymobile.com and logging in with your Google account. Once logged in, if your device gets misplaced, you can look for it on a map, sound an alert, which works even if the phone is in Silent mode, remote lock the phone and display contact information or remote wipe the internal and external memories on the phone as a last resort.

The beta version of my Xperia will be rolling out in Nordic regions on select 2012 Xperia smartphones, starting with the Xperia Acro S, with new devices to be supported later. For more information, visit the source link below.
