Someone did it again. The LulzSec hacker group has compromised more than 1 million Sony Pictures accounts and had the opportunity to steal EVERYTHING. But the guys didn’t.

Google has decided to dip its toe in the water and now the +1 button is available for publishers, bloggers and basically everyone to put on their websites.

The button, as you may remember, was found only on Google’s search results page, but as it turns out the search giant is taking it one step further. Rather than waiting for you to search a page, figure it’s useful and then “+1″ it, Google lets publishers take the initiative and allow people to recommend their website right on it. Read more »

You must remember the picture of the pink Nokia N8 that came out a few days back. You must because it’s difficult to get something that gaudy out of your mind in such short time. But Nokia isn’t relying on just the color to shock you. They have gone ahead and made a video complete with tattooed dolls with necks that turn 360-degree, an N8 that shoot lazers and dismembered dolls limbs. And you thought Sony’s ads are weird.

As you can see below, the video is pretty, uh, interesting. You don’t see much of the phone itself as you’d want to meaning this is all just viral marketing and Nokia’s attempt at keeping interest in the N8 going. But we think they should spend more time focusing on showcasing the upcoming Anna update for the N8 instead of dolls doing unspeakable things with it while the Sugarbabes play in the background (admittedly that’s the least offensive part of the video). Microsoft showed off its progress with Windows 8 at the D9 Conference as promised. A 4 minute video demonstrates how they’ve broken away from the interface that has been slowly evolving since Windows 1.0 and they’ve gone for something that looks a lot like Windows Phone 7.

The major change here is the Start screen – that’s right, gone is the iconic Start menu, replaced with a tile-based screen, much like the WP7 one. Instead of shortcuts, apps get a tile, which they can use to display various relevant info. Read more »

Intel’s Atom line of mobile processors, usually found in netbooks, celebrates their third birthday, which accidentally coincides with the company shipping over 100 million Atoms overall.

Sprint USA has confirmed that the HTC EVO 3D will be shipping with 3D content preinstalled. There were no dates given as to when exactly customers can expect the device, though.

It appears to be make or break time for Android tablets as the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 nears market release. With the XOOM failing to convince and the availability of the Transformer too limited to make any kind of impact this should be the one to show if the Google Team will make it in the Apple league this year.

After all if a device this slim and functional and with such powerful hardware can’t leave a customer satisfied then there could only be one conclusion – the OS is not ready yet. Read more »
