Amazon has announced its Q4, 2011 results. The positive news is that the net sales are up by 35% to $17.43 billion compared to last year, helped no doubt by the truckload of Kindles that Amazon shipped. Although they did not release specific numbers, Amazon did mention that during the nine-week holiday period, Kindle sales increased by 177 percent over last year, most probably due to the new low-price Kindle and the Kindle Fire, which has been quite a big hit.
Unfortunately, though, as Apple will tell you, selling products at a low price isn’t the best way to earn money. This means all those $199 Kindle Fires would have had a major role to play in the drop of net income for Amazon, which was down by 58% over last year. Read more »
My first experience with JLab Audio headphones goes a few years back, when I tried a pair of the company’s highly affordable JBuds. Priced at only $9.99, the earbuds certainly did not blow me away with acoustic supremacy. They were however, way too cheap to get any sort of criticism.

First, I would like to note that a display with such specs will not will not find itself into a smartphone or a tablet in the foreseeable future. Given the fact however, that pixel density has become a real battlefield among the manufacturers of mobile devices lately, I do believe that MicroOLED’s latest display must be noted. As you are about to find out, it is entirely in a reality of its own.

Samsung has releasing report of its Q4, 2011 earnings and the numbers are very impressive. For starters, the company earned 47.3 trillion Korean won (US$42 billion) in revenue and 5.3 trillion Korean won (US$ 4.7 billion) in profits.
Samsung’s mobile division saw a strong growth of 54 percent compared to last year, helped no doubt by the popular Galaxy S II, with 17.8 trillion Korean won (US$15.2 billion) coming from it. There will be much celebration going on in 1, Infinite Loop, Cupertino right now and rightly so because the company just posted its highest quarterly revenue and earnings figures ever along with record-breaking iPhone, iPad and Mac sales.
Apple posted a record quarterly revenue of $46.33 billion and record quarterly net profit of $13.06 billion, or $13.87 per diluted share, which is up by almost 50 percent over last year’s quarter. Apple also generated over $17.5 billion in cash flow during this quarter and their total bank balance now sits at a lofty $97.6 billion in cash. Read more »
