Moto X is $140 cheaper for one day only

by 11 comments

It might be April Fools’ Day today, but this is no joke. Motorola has decided to run another price-cutting promo for the Moto X on this occasion, and you’re now able to save $140 if you purchase the device.

It normally starts at $499.99, but if you order one now it will start at $359.99. Obviously we’re talking about buying the Moto X off-contract, as the promo sadly isn’t valid if you get it with a long-term carrier agreement. Read more »

Buy an LG G3 and get a free VR headset, sort of

by 21 comments

LG has been teasing the said promotion for quite some time now. It was supposed to launch in February, but, obviously, there have been some setbacks.

It appears the gift is now available, but only in the US and only in “particular stores” and, of course, while supplies last. The promotional webpage does not mention stores in particular and a footnote, leading nowhere states that the list is available online at lg.com, but we didn’t manage to find it, so if you have some info on that, be sure to leave it in the comment section. Motorola is giving you a free 3G Moto E (2nd gen) if you buy a Moto X Pure Edition until March 24

by 30 comments

The deal of the day (and possibly even the week) comes from Motorola. The company is offering you a free 3G Moto E (2nd generation). All you have to do to get it for nothing is buy a Moto X (2014) Pure Edition straight from its maker.

So you first design your Moto X the way you like it, and when you’re finished with that just add the Moto E to your cart. At this point the savings should automatically appear, transforming the Moto E’s price into $0. The only (pretty huge) caveat is that the Moto X you purchase will have to be off-contract. Get 100 GB free OneDrive storage through Bing Rewards now worldwide

by 51 comments

Cloud storage has become so widely spread and popular that most users rarely think about what service they are using and who is giving them all of the free online space. This of course is the desired effect with major players like Google Drive and Dropbox integrating their platforms so seamlessly with other applications that using them is as natural as your own hard drive. Microsoft is also big on the cloud storage scene, but oddly enough is generating far less hype, yet if you are on a recent Windows PC or a Lumia device, chances are that you already have a OneDrive account.

Just like the aforementioned Google service, Microsoft also offers 15GB of free storage out of the box. And while you may be thinking that you really don’t need another service to do the same the fact of the matter is that its client is already integrated in Windows 8 and newer version and puts you one click away from synching your files to the cloud. Microsoft has a limited time promotion through the Bing Awards program that can significantly sweeten the storage deal with 100 GB of free storage for two years. Read more »

Amazon offers discounts for Kindle tablets and e-readers as a Valentine’s Day deal

by 5 comments

Amazon, being the symbol of consumerism that it is, has some strange ideas of what constitutes an appropriate – never mind good – gift for Valentine’s Day. Honey, I got you some Kindle tablets and e-readers, they were on sale!

Jokes aside, the Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 (64GB, Wi-Fi) has been slashed from its normal price of $480 to just $300. That’s not a bad deal for an 8.9″ 2,560 x 1,600px display, Snapdragon 805 and a free Amazon Prime subscription. Read more »
