Google offers LG G Watch for $99 plus $50 store credit

by 14 comments

Today Google threw another surprise in the Black Friday pool of deals. If you happen to live in the US, you will be able to pick up the original LG G Watch for a total of just $99, which is about $130 off its regular price. The 5-month old device might already be outshined by the new flavor of rounder and slicker smartwatches, but arguably it still is one of the best Android Wear launch devices. Both the black and white/gold versions are available in the promotion.

American buyers can also enjoy another cherry on that amazing cake. The purchase of a LG G watch, or for that matter, any other android wear device from the Google Play Store will receive an additional $50 of credit for buying apps, books, movies, magazines or music. This brings the total savings up to a whopping $180, which is more than a good deal. Read more »

Black Friday is fast approaching and OnePlus has decided to make it a collaborative event – the company will be trading Facebook shares for money. Or rather for discounts on its accessories – 5% off goes for 2,000 shares, but the maximum 20% off is a steep 20,000 shares.

This is an interesting type of promotion – the more people that hit the share button, the more people will see the promo, which should lead to an avalanche effect. Read more »

Here’s what Best Buy will offer on Black Friday

by 52 comments

Black Friday deals have spread across the world, but the US still gets the best offers. Like a Samsung Galaxy S5 for $1 from Best Buy – with a 2-year contract, of course, but carrier stores still have it listed at $200. This offer is for AT&T, Verizon and Sprint. For $26 total you can get an S-View Flip case too.

Best Buy also has some salivating offers for pre-paid phones on multiple carriers. The cheapest is LG Realm for Boost Mobile for $20, but you can grab an LTE-enabled HTC Desire 510 on Virgin Mobile for $30 (note that the US version of the phone is not 64-bit like the European version). There’s also a 4G-enabled Galaxy S III for Sprint. Read more »

Just when we thought that the whole #bendage thing was behind us, here comes Apple to reignite it all over again. The company has revoked the press accreditation of German magazine Computer Bild after it published a video of its editor-in-chief bending iPhone 6 Plus and then failing to do so with the Galaxy Note 3.

Now whether or not an €800 phone should bend like that or if you should apply such force to it is beyond the point here. What’s important is Apple’s reaction to the case. Read more »
