Sony does more than make Android devices, it’s a giant in the entertainment business too – games, films and music. The company is using this position to give some free goodies to owners of its Xperia flagship products – the Xperia Z1 phone, Xperia Z Ultra phablet and the Xperia Tablet Z slate.

Time for another eBay Nexus deal – this time for the Nexus 7 (2013). The 16GB model is currently selling for $200. This isn’t the first promotion of this type – there were at least two more, one in August and one in September.

Nexus 10 32GB Wi-Fi now just $350 on eBay

The Nexus 10 a little old now (it wasn’t updated along with the 7″ model) but you can get a great deal for it – $350 for the 32GB Wi-Fi only model. Keep in mind that the Play Store is selling the 16GB version for $400, the 32GB is $500.

That $400 iPad 2 doesn’t sound like such a good deal now, does it? Not that it ever did, but even the 32GB iPad Air for $600 sounds pricy in comparison too. Read more »

LG has started a new marketing campaign in Dubai for its latest flagship smartphone, the LG G2. The new promotional strategy from LG offers you to exchange your Android smartphone for a brand new LG G2 free of cost.

The poster suggests that you need any Android smartphone, which is launched this year, but the fine print states that the device needs to have 5-inch display, 1.5 GHz quad-core or superior processor and run on 4.2 Jelly Bean or later versions of Android. Read more »

Google officially announced its second-generation Nexus 7 last month and the slate is already on sale starting at $229. Now, the new Nexus 7 is available at a discounted price from Office Max for a limited period.

Office Max is currently offering a 20% discount on the 16 GB and the 32 GB variant of the new Nexus 7 tablet. The 16 GB variant now costs you $183.20 and the 32 GB version is up for grabs with a price tag of $216, which saves you $54 as compared to the official pricing. Barnes & Noble and Amazon cut the prices Nook and Fire tablets in the US and the UK

Barnes & Noble recently cut the prices of its Nook HD tablets in the UK, but the price cuts now got extended to the US too and Amazon is fighting back with price cuts of its own Fire HD tablets (again both in the UK and in the US).

In the US the 7″ B&N Nook HD costs $129 for the 8GB version and $149 for the 16GB version. In the UK the prices are £99 and £129 respectively. Read more »

London mayor Boris Johnson, Barnes & Noble and Evening Standard are organizing the Get Reading festival, which will be held in Trafalgar Square on June 13. To get you ready, B&N cut the prices of its Android-powered (with full Play Store access) Nook HD and HD+ tablets to £99 and £149 respectively.

HTC’s marketing campaigns have been disappointing in the past and have resulted in the poor sales even though its latest smartphones have been pretty good. Record Kindle sales in the UK (tripled the previous record), price of Kindle Fire in US slashed to $129

Amazon has slashed the prices of its updated Kindle Fire tablets both in the UK and now in the US to celebrate Black Friday and Cyber Monday. While Black Friday is mostly an American thing, UK customers got to buy the revamped 7″ tablet for just £99 (with ads), which led to a record number of units sold.
