Microsoft Xbox One pricing and release date go official

Microsoft spilled the beans on the pricing and initial availability of the recently announced Xbox One. The gaming console with be available on November 21 in the United States, United Kingdom, and markets in Continental Europe.

The Xbox One will be priced at $499.99 in the US, £429 and €499 in the UK and the rest of Europe respectively. Read more »

Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare posters appear at E3 venue

The original Plants vs. Zombies is one of the most popular 2D tower defense game around regardless of the platform. A sequel in the form of Plants vs. Zombies 2: It’s About Time! is expected later this month. But it seems EA has some other plans for the series as well.

Spotted at the E3 venue were these posters of something called Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare. By the looks of it, this game is going to be in 3D and may actually feature first or third person shooting elements. What the gameplay would be like is anybody’s guess but it does seem markedly different from the other two games. Read more »

Official Man of Steel game trailer comes ahead of iOS and Android launch

As Man of Steel is gathering popularity Warner Bros is keen to boost the hype even further. Just before the movie’s release we got a trailer of the upcoming game for Android and iOS.

The trailer contains gameplay footage detailing some combos, the flying, the graphics and confirms the June 14 release date. Unfortunately, we got no info on how much the game will cost. Read more »

Temple Run has been one of the biggest hits in the recent times and yet another release of the popular game, Temple Run: Brave, is now available for Windows Phone 8 users.

Temple Run: Brave comes from the joined forces of Imangi and Disney and features the main character from the movie, Merida. However, the basic gameplay mechanic in this game remains quite similar to the original Temple Run. Read more »

Modern Combat is an extremely popular Gameloft title that already has 4 great installments readily available in the Apple App Store and Google Play store so naturally we’re thrilled to see a trailer of the upcoming Modern Combat 5.

Madfinger Games’ first attempt at a first person zombie shooter was pretty successful, judging by the 18 million downloads across iOS and Android. Now they have announced a successor in the form of Dead Trigger 2, which takes a slightly new direction with gameplay and also features improved visuals over its predecessor.

Unlike Dead Trigger, which was just a single player game, Dead Trigger 2 is actually a massively multiplayer online first person shooter. This means that you will be playing besides hundreds of other players in a common world against a common enemy. Read more »

Final Fantasy IV comes to Android, costs an arm and a leg

If you’re a fan of the Final Fantasy franchise and happen to own an Android smartphone (Gingerbread 2.3.3 and above) then you can now get the 1991 Final Fantasy IV straight off Google Play.

There’s a catch, however, as the game developer has decided to ask premium for the game and you’d need to pay $15.99 or £10.99. Read more »

The long expected sequel of the arcade game Plants vs Zombies will soon be available on iOS devices. PopCap Games has officially announced that its Plants vs Zombies 2: It’s About Time will be coming to the Apple platform on July 18.

PopCap Games has also released a trailer for the upcoming title, giving us a hint on what to expect. In the trailer, the botanist Dave sets himself to defend his house with the help of peashooters, walnuts and other plants. Read more »

‘Contra: Evolution’ for iOS and Android game review

You can’t call yourself a gamer if you never played Contra. Released back in 1987 for the NES, Contra went on to become a cult classic and one of the best 2D side-scrolling action adventure games of all time that every gamer has a soft spot for.

Now, after all these years, developer PunchBox Studios has finally decided to remake this popular title for the mobile platform, starting with an iOS version. Razer announces 14-inch Razer Blade and 17-inch Razer Blade Pro gaming laptops

Razer has updated their 17-inch gaming laptop – the Razer Blade – and it now comes with improved hardware and a new name. Called the Razer Blade Pro, the ultrathin gaming laptop gets some increased firepower under the hood courtesy of some next generation parts.

For starters, Razer has swapped the previous Intel Ivy Bridge processor in favor of a new 4th gen Intel Core ‘Haswell’ processor. The GPU has been updated from the NVIDIA GTX 660M on the previous model to a GTX 765M. Read more »
