We’ve come across a new promo video of the HTC Flyer. It’s highlights the main features that distinguish the Flyer from the pack of Android 3.0 Honeycomb-running tabs and slates out there. And it’s a six-minute video, so you can imagine it gets pretty detailed.
The video is very good, actually, and fun to watch. It shows some pretty sweet organizing stuff, like taking notes with audio and pictures and even handwritten remarks thanks to the HTC Scribe technology.
A very important thing we noticed is that the Flyer demonstrates in the video the new lock screen on HTC Sense 3.0. We also saw this on the Sprint version of the HTC EVO 3D. It gives you the choice of 4 apps, which you can open directly from the lock screen. Those can be rearranged however you like. It makes us think that the Flyer might keep other goodies under its hood.
But I can’t help to notice that its makers have borrowed really heavily from Sony and Apple – to a point where it gets confusing. A tablet like no other? Really? Read more »
Google is introducing the +1 button, which will be a like button, available directly on every one of your search results. The service will soon be available for testing and after that to everyone with a Google account.
The idea behind this is to vote +1 for Google search results or websites that you like. Essentially, this way you would be giving feedback to everyone else who’s interested in the same topic. You’d also be on the receiving of this new feature as the community opinion should help you find relevant information sources as well. Read more »

The Android Market will soon be getting in-app purchasing and billing functionality. The new function has now entered into a testing cycle and is due to become official next week.
Asus has made an ad for their upcoming Eee Pad Transformer and it looks surprisingly… bad. It’s based on the popular Big Bang Theory TV series and consists of dorky humor, 70s hair styles and a “I know where this is going before it’s happened” plotline. The actors also use the word “product” one too many times.
The Eee Pad Transformer itself is being released today in Taiwan and in the US in April. It will have Android 3.0 Honeycomb preinstalled, 10.1-inch 1280×800 display and a dual-core NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor inside. At the very beginning, when Amazon opened its App Store for business, AT&T Android users were locked out of the fun. The reason behind this was that the US carrier considers the newly announced app store’s content as third party, thus unusable.
Naturally this action was a bummer for AT&T customers, who wanted to try the new app store, not to mention to download the Angry Birds Rio for free, as it was exclusively launched by Amazon in its app store. Read more »
The YouTube in-browser video editor just got updated. And this isn’t your everyday minor tweaking, mind you, this is a pretty major improvement. The editor can stabilize your shaky video and even make it 3D worthy.
The stabilization feature is using the Green Parrot Pictures technology and know-how, which Google recently acquired by buying the company. It removes all the shaky camera movement and replaces it with specially selected trajectories. It makes it look as if you were using a tripod for filming the video rather than your hands. Read more »
US carrier Sprint may file a lawsuit against the T-Mobile takeover by AT&T. This was said today by Sprint CEO, Dan Hesse at the CTIA in Orlando, Florida.
Hesse’s concerns are this acquisition will hurt the wireless industry. He went to say that if this deal went through, AT&T and Verizon will hold 79% of the US market share, leaving Sprint at the lowly third spot and almost bereft of leverage. Read more »
Google has just announced the availability of the beta version of their latest Chrome browser. The new version number is 11.0.696.16 and introduces several new features to Chrome to users of all major platforms (PC, Mac and Linux).
The most notable improvements the new Chrome brings include a voice search, powered by HTML5, GPU-accelerated 3D CSS and a new icon. Read more »
Nowadays we’re already very used to seeing the latest gadgets in music videos, prior to even those getting to the shelves. And in most cases those gadgets are doing the impossible stuff, nobody thought they can. And in most cases they really can’t do it, it’s just some visual trickery to make us want to buy it pronto.

The CTIA hasn’t officially begun just yet but we are already bombarded with announcements. Now we have a 3D-capable HTC smartphone and a version of their tablet, headed to US carrier Sprint.

I bet every tablet-loving gadget fan has been anticipating this one from day one. Well, most of you, anyway. Ever since the first “What’s your tab life?” teaser hit the web, we have been waiting to see what this new Samsung tablet is all about.
Well now that we are only a few hours away from its official announcement we can confirm most of its key specs. Now the 8.9″ display is an obvious one for the Galaxy Tab, but the really great WXGA resolution (that’s 1280×800 pixels, in case you are wondering) comes as a nice bonus.
