by 14 comments

We have already seen trailers for both these games, God of War: Ascension and The Last of Us, before but now it’s time to see some gameplay videos. Sony took the opportunity at E3 2012 to do exactly that.

Ascension looks a lot like the previous God of War games. There is Kratos who is his usual angry self, tearing his enemies apart limb by limb. There are some new enemies here but the coolest thing that you see in the gameplay video is the ability to repair damaged environments to their former self and use that to progress through the game. by 18 comments

Yesterday, Microsoft kicked off E3 2012 with some major announcements for the Xbox 360, which reportedly recently became the best selling console in the world, surpassing the Playstation 3. The first of the bunch is Internet Explorer for Xbox.

It’s surprising that until this point there was no web browser on the Xbox, even though its rival PS3 had one since launch. Microsoft is now making up for it by bringing the Metro version of IE that we saw in Windows 8 on the Xbox. It will have full integration with Kinect so you would be able to use your voice to control it instead of using cumbersome keyboards in your living room. Read more »

by 218 comments

Samsung just brought the Galaxy S III to the market and it immediately had to face an Apple iPhone 4S in a drop test.

AndroidAuthority decided to redo the drop test from last year, when the Galaxy S II met the iPhone 4S on the sidewalk curb, and survived thanks to its Gorilla Glass screen. Now, the Galaxy S III comes with Gorilla Glass 2, so it’s interesting to see how it’ll fare in the same challenge. Read more »

Sony announces Pulse Wireless Stereo Headset – Elite Edition for the PS3, PSVita and mobile devices

by 13 comments

Last year, Sony launched the Wireless Stereo Headset for the PlayStation 3, which is an amazing product for the price and something I can personally vouch for having owned it for the past several months. Now, Sony has launched the new Pulse Wireless Stereo Headset – Elite Edition, which not only works with the PS3 but also with the PSVita and other mobile devices.

The main feature of this headset is the BassImpact technology. It turns bass sounds into pulses that sync with the sound. Basically, you will feel the headset vibrating along with bass in the audio, which Sony believes creates a greater sense of immersion. Read more »
