First Braille phone debuts in UK, made using 3D printer

UK phonemaker OwnFone announced what it claims is the world first phone for people with visual disabilities. Both the front and back panels of the phone are made using a 3D printer, which allows for additional customization, according to the company.

The phone is also available in a non-Braille version with the raised text on the keypad. “3D printing provides a fast and cost-effective way to create personalized Braille buttons,” says Tom Sunderland, inventor of the phone. Read more »

Windows Phone 8.1 Developer’s Preview has been out for weeks and it brought so many new features that even today we keep discovering new ones. The latest one making the rounds is the option to backup 16MP, 18MP, 34MP and 38MP Lumia HD pictures to OneDrive.

YouTube is in the process of acquiring Twitch, according to a report by Variety. YouTube will allegedly be paying over $1 billion dollars. The deal will be all-cash and is expected to be announced “imminently”.

‘Thomas Was Alone’ for iPad game review

Thomas Was Alone is a popular indie game title that was first released on Steam back in 2012. The game went on to win many awards, including the BAFTA Games Award, and was praised for its gameplay, narration and the superb soundtrack.
