LG’s upcoming flagship smartphone, the G3 has been leaked numerous times and has left nothing to our imagination. Just when we started to think that the flood of leaked information with respect to LG G3 is about to stop (since we already know everything about the smartphone), we come across the official accessories of the device.

The wireless charger and the quick circle case for the LG G3 have been pictured. The leaked images reveal that the G3′s wireless charging dock will feature a design that is significantly different from the normal wireless docks. Read more »

Nokia Lumia 630 battery life

Nokia Lumia 630 is the first smartphone to run Windows Phone 8.1 out of the box. It is also the first WP handset ever to offer dual-SIM support, but we had the single-SIM version at our disposal.

We weren’t particularly optimistic about the phone’s 1,830 mAh battery, but the quad-core Cortex-A7 processor should be quite energy-efficient. Anyway, Nokia promises 600 hours of stand-by or half a day on 3G talks in one charge. Let’s check if we can squeeze the same from our Lumia 630. Read more »

Google brings Play Movies to four new countries

Google keeps expanding the reach of its Play Movies video service and today four new countries have joined the supported list. If you live in Belgium, Philippines, Switzerland or Uganda, you can now rent and purchase movies from the repository.

The new wave brings the total number of countries where Play Movies is available to 69. However, you should keep in mind that this number only concerns movies, whereas TV shows are still only available in four countries. Read more »

Samsung reportedly working on its own VR headset

With things in the virtual reality headset space starting to get interesting, what with Facebook acquiring Oculus VR and Sony working on one of its own, it wasn’t long before others decided to try their hand at it as well.

It’s no surprise then that Samsung has decided to throw its hat in the VR headset ring, considering the company’s reputation of throwing everything at the wall and seeing what sticks. HTC Desire 816 battery test

The HTC Desire 816 has one of the smaller batteries of all 5.5″ smartphones, 2,600mAh. There are a couple 2,500mAh but that’s hardly an excuse. Great battery life is one of the key selling points of phablets, second only to the large screen (actually those are the two selling points), so has this hurt HTC’s second phablet?

Roger Federer brings Google Glass to the tennis court

The legendary tennis player, Roger Federer has posted a video of him playing his favorite sport while wearing the Google Glass. The video posted on Roger’s YouTube channel gives all of us an opportunity to see the game through his eyes.

The action took place when Roger Federer and Stefan Edberg visited Google’s Silicon Valley campus. Both players then hit the court to play a few rounds while wearing the Glass. Read more »

Rocksteady has released a trailer of its upcoming game, the fourth and final game in the Batman Arkham series, Batman: Arkham Knight. The video features a voiceover by Arkham Knight, voiced by John Noble, telling the people of Gotham to abandon the city. And then Batman arrives for “evening the odds”.

The new trailer gives a better look at the new character designs, particularly the new Batsuit. But most importantly, it gives a better look at the new Batmobile, which will play a major role in this game. Read more »

IDC survey shows battery life is most important when buying smartphone

Analytics and research company IDC has conducted a survey asking some 50,000 people across 25 countries what are their main drivers when it comes to getting a new smartphone.

The results are quite interesting as they show what customers are looking for in a smartphone and 40% of buyers who went the Windows Phone route looked specifically for a device running Microsoft’s operating system. Read more »

HP 7 Plus tablet goes official in the US with a $99.99 price tag

Just as earlier rumors hinted, HP is starting to announce its 2014 line-up of Android tablets. The first of the batch to go official in the US is the HP 7 Plus tablet, which HP has priced at just $99.99.

The tablet is available in the US and it seems to offer some good hardware for the price. The most notable is a Cortex A7 1GHz quad-core CPU on an Allwinner Technology SoC. Read more »
