LG has announced a new wearable device called KizOn that will let you keep a track of your children. The device includes built-in wireless and networking functionality and is worn on your wrist like a watch.
KizOn includes GPS, Wi-Fi and calling functionality that will let you keep a track of your children’s whereabouts on your smartphone. You can configure the device to call one particular number that can be changed from your smartphone. You can also call the device from a phone and if the child does not answer the call within ten seconds from one of the pre-configured numbers, the call is automatically accepted so that the parent will be able to use the microphone on the device and listen to what their kid is up to. Sony revealed the world’s first curved photo sensor last week, and have today followed it up with a sample image showcasing a new display technology that the company hopes will result in cheaper photo sensors while delivering higher-quality images.
Curved sensors are expected to solve problems that flat sensors have with light falling in front of their focal plane in certain conditions, and can also reduce noise while reducing their manufacturing complexity. Read more »
CyanogenMod 11 M8 is now available for download on selected devices. For the first time, the Sony Xperia Z2 (sirius), Xiaomi Mi2 (aries), Oppo Find 7a/s (find7) and OnePlus One (bacon) are graced by the popular third-party ROM.

A group of around 20 men armed with submachine guns raided a Samsung factory in Campinas, Brazil, late last night.
The thieves entered the factory disguised as part of the night shift, loaded up seven trucks worth of smartphones, tablets and notebooks, and got away with some $36 million worth of goods. Read more »

BlackBerry has released their BBM application for the Windows Phone platform. After being exclusive to the BlackBerry OS since its inception, the app was released on iOS and Android last year but it took its usual time to arrive later on Windows Phone.
But even though the app is on Windows Phone now, you may not be able to download it. BlackBerry, in its infinite wisdom, as decided to keep it a private beta for now, so you will need an invite to be able to use the app on your Windows Phone device. Read more »
