Motorola’s latest promo video for the Moto 360 smartwatch is meant to explain why this new smart device has taken the form of a watch (rather than perhaps a smart microwave oven). The answer comes from the Product Lead for the Moto 360 Lior Ron and his belief that the watch was the most personal piece of technology and a self-expression on a wrist.
The video also addresses the round shape as magical, super comfortable and allowing for a larger display. What it doesn’t address is when eager users will be able to get their hands on one or better yet one on their wrists. Read more »
Have you ever had this happen – during the initial setup of an Android device, you tap the restore option and the OS starts reinstalling all sorts of apps you had on your old devices, including many you don’t need? Google might be working on a more intelligent restore option that will allow you to select a backup from a specific device to be restored.

Google has flipped the switch on the screencasting feature in Android KitKat devices, which means a select few handsets running this OS (4.4.1 and above) will now see the Screencast option available in the expanded notifications screen as well as Display options in the Settings app.

Microsoft’s latest Surface Pro 3 slate has been plagued by some serious Wi-Fi connectivity issues since its release a few weeks ago. The early adopters hoped Microsoft will resolve their issues with an upcoming update, and as it turns out they’ll only have to wait a few more days.

Samsung unveiled its new 850 PRO SSDs a week ago and now we have the official prices of the new drives. They are built using a 3D V-NAND technology, which improves performance and energy efficiency. The drives achieve 550MB/s reads (100K IOPS) and 520MB/s writes (90K IOPS).
