If you have applied the Android 2.3.3 update to you Google Nexus S recently you might have noticed that the screen now looks different. There’s no reason to worry though – the slightly warmer colors don’t indicate a hardware bug, but are in fact a feature implemented by the Google engineers.

The Motorola XOOM packs some serious punch under the hood and there’s hardly an Android application that would require more. However this doesn’t stop the hacking community to try and squeeze every last drop of performance out of dual-core Cortex-A9 CPU (you know, just in case).

The Windows Marketplace might be some way off its competitors in terms of content, but it’s catching up pretty fast. We just got word that some of the most wildly popular mobile games will be joining it shortly.

Reportedly, a Samsung spokesperson contacted a Korean news outlet informing them Samsung will release a 8.9-inch Android tablet in the first half of the year. Following the official announcement of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, the manufacturer is about to unveil a smaller tablet, but still one that’s bigger than the original Galaxy Tab.

It seems there’s no stopping the tablet war from escalating.

It turns out that Android 3.0 Honeycomb is not just for tablets – XDA-Developers already have an alpha version of a Honeycomb ROM running on the Google Nexus One.

The screen on the Nexus One is too small for comfortable use of the Honeycomb UI, but I think that the possibility of such a ROM making it to the tablets that don’t have Honeycomb is more exciting… Read more »

Congrats to all Nokia S40 owners, as Foursquare is finally released for their devices today. If you haven’t heard of Foursquare until now, it’s an unobtrusive way to share your location with friends and explore new and interesting places.

Samsung is working hard to develop their Bada OS into an even better platform and version 2.0 integrates much of their progress so far. Bada will be doing a strong push into the fields of social networking, location services, providing content and mobile payment.

Angry Birds is a hugely popular game available on just about every mobile platform imaginable, except Windows Phone 7 that is. But now Rovio just confirmed that they are already working on a version of Angry Birds for WP7.
