Google finally delivered its Google Now service to iOS. First there was a leaked video then Erik Schmidt vaguely told people to ask Apple when to expect Google Now on iOS. And yet here we are – using it on iOS already.
Coming from an Android device you’ll immediately recognize Google Now. The design scheme is left unchanged with simplistic UI elements, clean tile-like cards of information, the font, etc. but there is also an unmistakable iOS feel to the app which users might appreciate. Read more »
Rovio, the makers of the popular Angry Birds series of games has announced that the new installment in the game series will be launched on Android and iOS this Thursday.

Google Now is now available on iOS as a free update for the popular Google Search app. The iOS app recognizes voice and actually looks hotter than its Android peer (the cards have a nice CoverFlow-like view), but can’t quite match the functionality of the Google OS version.

Apple has released a new TV ad for the iPhone. After a series of short ads that quickly ran through the various apps and features on the phone, the new ad takes a leisurely approach at showcasing just one feature of the phone: the camera.
Unlike Samsung, whose ads have now stopped making sense entirely, the new iPhone ad shows people actually using the phone. You can see people taking photos with the device in every day conditions, editing them on the phone and then sharing them. Read more »
The sequel to the highly popular game Draw Something is now available for download. The game is currently available only on the App Store and for the iPhone and iPod touch. You can either go for the free version with ads or the premium version for $2.99.
For those who are not aware, Draw Something is a game where you are given a word and you have to draw it on the screen using the various tools available to you. Your opponent then has to guess the drawing and name the word using the letters available to them. Read more »
A Foxconn employee has sent a tip to news outlet China Business reporting that Apple has rejected between 5 and 8 million iPhone handsets “due to appearance of substandard or dysfunctional problems.”
The source of the information doesn’t specify what’s the iPhone model and what exactly was wrong with the units, so its hard to say whether there’s a problem with the aluminum casing or the hardware innards of the devices. Read more »
The original Cut the Rope has been a rousing success. Known for its simple yet challenging gameplay and adorable animation style, the game was a hit with all age groups. It later spawned a sequel in the form of Cut the Rope: Experiments, which introduced new levels and gameplay mechanics.
Now, a year and a half after Experiments came out, developers ZeptoLab have released the third installment in the series, labelled Cut the Rope: Time Travel. The iPhone 5S is yet to be seen in whole, but various alleged parts are already making the rounds on the Internet. The latest is a look at the front-facing camera of the next Apple phone, along with another unidentified component.

Last week we reported on the rumors of Twitter releasing its own music streaming service, which were backed by the music.twitter.com website which went live around that time but wasn’t quite functional back then. Now the service has been announced officially and is called Twitter #music.

Chatter about a budget iPhone has increased in past months, and now a photo of a plastic iPhone casing has emerged online pouring even more fuel into that particular rumor fire.
The plastic shell has a glossy white finish and features all the necessary cuttings for the camera, LED flash, volume rocker and silent mode button. The source of the rumor says that the shell measures 0.4-0.6mm thick and is “likely” bigger than the iPhone 4/4S. Read more »
