The word was delivered by Nick Earl – Electronic Arts’ senior vice president for mobile and social game development.

Studio developing ‘Infinity Blade: Dungeons’ shuts down, game put on hold indefinitely

You may remember getting a sneak peek at Epic Games’ Infinity Blade: Dungeons, the third game in the Infinity Blade series for iOS devices, during the iPad 3 launch event last year. Unlike the first two games, Dungeons adopted a top-down isometric view with proper player motion and gameplay, unlike the mindless screen swiping in the first two games.

Evasi0n’s jailbreak tool hacked 7 million iOS devices in four days

It looks like the recently launched iOS 6.1 jailbreak tool evasi0n has been doing quite well, people! Cydia’s creator Jay Freeman told Forbes that the tool has been used to hack 7 million iOS devices since its release a few days ago.

The abovementioned number includes 5.15 million iPhones, 1.35 million iPads, and 400,000 iPod Touchs – quite an impressive number given the fact that evasi0n has been out for only four days now. Read more »

Twitter updates Android and iOS apps, brings search and UI changes

Twitter has released updated versions of their mobile apps, with the Android version getting the bulk of the changes. Among the list of improvements common to both iOS and Android versions is a new Discover view, which shows a single stream of tweets, trends, activity and accounts to follow.

The search has also been update and now presents you with accounts, tweets and pictures relevant to your query. The Connect tab has been updated to show only Interactions view now but you can switch it to show only mentions from the Settings menu. Read more »

‘Little Inferno’ for iPad game review

Little Inferno made its public debut last year as one of the launch titles for the Nintendo Wii U. Made by the designers of the popular game World of Goo and Henry Hatsworth, the game was lauded for its unique gameplay and won many awards. Epic Games releases Epic Citadel for Android with built-in benchmarking tool

Almost three years after the launch of Epic Citadel for iOS, Epic Games has finally released the Android version of the app on the Google Play Store.

For those who are not aware, Epic Citadel is based on the Unreal Engine 3, and back when it was released on iOS, served as a way to highlight the capabilities of the engine on the mobile platform (it was later put into use in Infinity Blade).
