A Californian photographic enthusiast is selling his vintage collection of cameras, which he has been accumulating for the last 50 years. The entire collections accounts to 1000+ units and comprises of brands including Canon, Nikon, Polaroid, Yashica and Mamiya.

The lifetime collection contains the widest range of SLR’s, RF, TLR, medium format and twin-lens reflex models you are likely to see in one place. The Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0, which was confirmed by the Samsung head, is very likely to be launched at the upcoming Mobile World Congress, as the tablet has been officially listed on the Bluetooth.org website.

Archos made its new line up of Platinum tablets official. And yes, the name does sound familiar as one of them was even showcased at CES last month, but obviously the French manufacturer consider that unofficial. Anyway, all the latest tablets in the Platinum range have high-end hardware and mid-range pricing so they might turn out to be quite interesting offerings.

Apple acknowledges Exchange bugs in iOS 6.1, promises to fix them shortly

Its a known fact that Apple is having a horror time with its latest version of iOS, but the company has promised to fix the issues with an upcoming software update. Apple claims to have identified the issue, which was affecting the Microsoft Exchange support and will be addressing it shortly.

The latest iOS update caused various problems to enterprise users, who had connected to the Microsoft exchange servers. Microsoft even allegedly suggested that server administrators ban iOS 6.1 devices from accessing Exchange servers. Read more »

Apple Maps takes another hit as Oz Fire Authorities call it dangerous

Apple Maps, the company’s in-house mapping system for its iDevices has been questioned time and time again for its accuracy. The Australian police had earlier called the Apple Maps “life-threatening” and now the Country Fire Authority in Victoria has described the mapping service as “dangerous”.

CFA’s FireReady app for iOS, which is used to report the busyfires in the state, uses Apple Maps and unfortunately the map data turned out to be inaccurate. The fire authorities seem to be failing to reach the destination due to the inaccuracies, when the fire is reported. Read more »

Microsoft Xbox 360 shipments exceed 76 million units as Kinect sales reach 24 million

The sales of Microsoft Xbox 360, the successor of the popular Xbox gaming console, have surpassed 76 million units, according to Larry Hryb, the director of programming for Xbox.

Larry Hryb announced the Xbox 360′s achievement through his Twitter page. The tweet also said that Kinect sales have reached the 24 million units and Xbox live now has 46 million paying subscribers. Read more »

Sony Xperia Z LTE version’s system dump surfaces, ringtones and wallpapers extracted

Sony Xperia Z’s system dumps were inevitable to appear once the smartphone went on sale, but it actually surfaced ahead of the wide availability of the handset. A system image of the LTE version of the Xperia Z, has been made available for download courtesy of hush66 from XDA developers.

According to the author the image is from the C6603 version of the smartphone, running on Android 4.1.2 and having a build number 10.1.A.1.350. Read more »

BlackBerry Z10 torn apart, internal hardware found to resemble that of US Galaxy S III

The recently launched BlackBerry Z10 smartphone, which runs on the latest BB 10 OS has been taken apart by the folks at UBM TechInsights, who have exposed all of its secrets.
