ASUS had earlier teased an alien-themed video, which promised “metallic miracle” and “ultimate craftsmanship”. Now, a latest teaser from the Taiwanese manufacturer limelight’s the voice calling ability of the tablets.

Xenon tubes have been powering the camera flashes for ages now, but with phones getting thinner every year, manufacturers have no choice but replace them with LED lights. What’s more, the performance of the few xenon flashes we’ve seen implemented in smartphones recently is underwhelming because the smaller the flash capacitor, the weaker the light output is.

A Singapore invention however has the potential to allow xenon flashes to reclaim some of the lost turf from LEDs. CyanogenMod 10.1 stock camera app gets high dynamic range feature

The most popular aftermarket firmware for Android smartphones has added one of the latest features to its stock camera app. CyanogenMod 10.1 now comes with the camera app with the ability to shoot high dynamic range pictures.

Samsung Galaxy Nexus passcode can be bypassed by freezing the smartphone

One of the parts of the very solid specs sheet of the HTC One that has attracted the most attention is the smartphone’s Ultrapixel camera. After we got to see the first still shots, captured with the HTC One, it’s now time to see the video camera in action.

We got a trio of videos, which were captured using the HTC One camcorder’s HDR mode, a feature which is still pretty rare to come by in smartphones. NVIDIA launches GTX Titan, a powerful graphic card that costs you $1000

NVIDIA has officially unveiled its GTX Titan, a powerful graphic card, which has the ability to power the world’s first gaming supercomputers and comes with 2,688 CUDA cores, 6 GB of GDDR5 RAM and 7.1 billion transistors. The 10.5″ powerhouse also has the ability to push 4,500 gigaflops of raw power.

The latest graphic card from the American company was in action, bootstrapped to two others running together and the GTX Titan powered the graphics from the Crysis 3, which was running at 5760×1080 pixel resolution across three monitors. Read more »

Samsung launches a cheaper variant of Galaxy Camera

Samsung Galaxy Camera, which was announced at IFA trade show last year, was the company’s first attempt at an Android-powered camera, but its high asking price has steered quite a lot of people away from it. To address that Samsung has now introduced a cheaper version of the hybrid device.

Sony Xperia Z gets rooted ahead of its global launch

Microsoft confirms Windows Blue upgrade for desktops and smartphones

Microsoft’s upcoming OS update scheme named Windows Blue, which will allow the company to have a low-cost Windows platform on a yearly update schedule is supposed to get underway later this year. Now, Microsoft has more or less confirmed the arrival of the upgrades through a job posting on its careers site.
