Motorola Moto X battery life test completes, check out the scores

The 2,200mAh battery of the Moto X has to power a relatively modest by today’s top-end Android smartphone standards’ hardware setup. We were however, curious to measure the impact of Motorola’s Touchless Control and Active Notifications additions on the Moto X’s battery performance.

Moto Maker’s engraving feature won’t be available at the launch of the Moto X

Barely a few days before the retail launch of the Motorola Moto X, we found out that one of its key customization features will be missing. Customers will not be able to place their own messages on the device’s back when it launches this Friday.

Sony DSC-QX10 and DSC-QX100 smartphone lens-cameras leak out alongside the upcoming Honami i1

Sony’s soon to be revealed attachable smartphone lens-cameras have appeared in high-resolution images. Dubbed DSC-QX10 and DSC-QX100, the gadgets pack a lens, sensor, card slot and image processor.

The lens-cameras will attach to a smartphone, therefore transforming it into a high-end point and shoot snapper via a wireless connection. The handset’s display will work as a viewfinder (a dedicated app will more than likely be involved in the process). Read more »

RHA takes its in-ear headphones lineup upmarket with the newly launched MA600i and MA750i

The British designer and manufacturer of headphones Reid Heath Acoustics announced two new additions to its lineup of in-ear headphones. The RHA MA600i and MA750i aim to sit in a decidedly more upmarket segment compared to the rest of the company’s offerings.

The MA600i and MA750i are designed to work with Apple devices, so each of the headsets sports a three-button remote. A version of both headphones without remote will be available in September. Read more »

RHA MA450i in-ear headphones review

The RHA MA450i headphones are the British company’s top end in-ear offering. The headset has been developed to play nice with Apple devices and sports an aluminum construction alongside an affordable price tag – a great combination in my book.

A couple of months ago, I was astounded by the outstanding value which the RHA SA950i on-ear headphones offered for the money. Second generation Google Nexus 7 leaks out in a press photo

The highly anticipated second generation of the Google Nexus 7 made a couple of unofficial appearances. The upcoming ASUS-made slate showed up in a press photo, as well as a BestBuy print catalogue.

Both alleged images of the upcoming Nexus 7 fall right in line with previous leaks. The BestBuy ad points at a screen resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels. It also confirms the $229 price tag for the 16GB version of the slate. Read more »

Hot on the heels of the pricing details from yesterday, the second generation Nexus 7 made yet another appearance. This time around the highly anticipated tablet allegedly showed up in photos and video footage.

The images unsurprisingly reveal an ASUS-made tablet with a 7″ LCD display and a duo of cameras which include a 1.2MP and a 5MP unit, located on its front and back respectively. The listed SoC of the leaked device is reportedly a Qualcomm’s APQ8064 Snapdragon S4 Pro – right in line with past reports. Read more »

EA’s FIFA 13 has officially landed on Windows Phone 8. The member of the ultra-popular soccer gaming franchise is available in the Windows Phone marketplace exclusively for Nokia Lumia smartphones, priced at $4.99.
