Mortal Kombat X trailer packs a lot of blood and brutality

When it comes to one-to-one battle games, Mortal Kombat is the first name that crosses an avid gamer’s mind. The popular martial arts style fighting game will get a new installment dubbed Mortal Kombat X on April 14 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC while the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions are expected in coming months.

Next Apple iOS, OS X update to pack Spock’s Vulcan salute emoji

Leonard Nimoy, popularly known as Spock from the space fiction movie series Star Trek, passed away on February 27 and made the character Spock immortal. Even Apple is preparing to pay homage to Nimoy and Spock with a new Star Trek themed Spock emoji for OS X and iOS.

Disney announced that the popular science-fiction fantasy saga Star Wars will be available as a digital download for the first time ever. The entire collection of 6 movies will arrive in Digital HD later this week, on April 10.

Nikon unveils a selfie stick accessory for Coolpix cameras

Nikon quietly introduced a selfie stick (N-MP001) accessory for select Coolpix family models. The gadget costs $60 a pop and is available for pre-order at major US retailers.

Google in talks for free International roaming for Android phones

Google is always looking for ways to boost the usage of its products among consumers globally. For that, the company is in talks with Hutchinson Whampoa to work on a deal that will eliminate the international roaming costs for Android phones.

Cloud gaming service OnLive is shutting down on April 30

OnePlus launches limited edition DR-1 drone for $20

After teasing a new game changer product last week, OnePlus has finally introduced the OnePlus DR-1 drone today. What may appear to be a well fabricated prank, is actually true. The Chinese startup intends to sell limited units of this remote controlled drone.

The tiny limited edition DR-1 drone weighs only 15 grams and is just 2.75 inches wide. It has a 4-axis flaps which can be maneuvered using a joystick-like remote control. Also, the controller joystick offers two flight mode settings for letting the drone adapt whenever switching between them. Read more »

Microsoft Office suite to be free for devices under 10-inches

Microsoft did surprise many by announcing the free upgrade of the Windows 10 for everyone in China. Even those who’re on a pirated copy of Windows 7 or Windows 8. Now the company plans to take over the mobile space by making the Office suite free for the devices with screens smaller than 10-inches.

Kirk Koenigsbauer, corporate vice president for Office 365 Client Apps and Services, noted in a blog post that Office suite will be offered for mobile platforms with a freemium model. That means, the Windows, Android and iOS device owners will get the productivity apps of Office suite. Read more »

WhatsApp is working on Google Drive integration to back messages, media

While many await the voice calling to be enabled through WhatsApp, the instant messenger developers are addressing another problem. Whenever one uninstalls WhatsApp, changes devices or performs factory reset, all previous conversations as well as media gets wiped out.
