Mortal Kombat X now available on Android

Warner Bros. Interactive has kept its promise to bring the Mortal Kombat X for mobile devices. Now the visceral fighting game is made available for the Android 4.0 or higher devices with freemium model.

The NetherRealm Studios developed Mortal Kombat X was already available for the iOS platform so now both major platforms are covered. For mobile devices, the game includes the usual brutal fights along with card-collecting to unlock special features. Read more »

LG Watch Urbane will arrive in the Google Store next week

LG will start selling the Watch Urbane this week in South Korea and will make it available in 13 different countries through the Google Store. Those 13 markets include Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Korea, Spain, UK and the United States.

Adobe Lightroom app gets support for DNG raw files, microSD card and tablets

Adobe has rolled out an update for its Lightroom app for Android that’s loaded with features. For starters, the new app build finally brings support RAW files, thus meaning that you can transfer actual DNG files from your computer to an Android 5.0 Lollipop running smartphone or tablet for further editing.

PlayStation 4 getting 2.51 firmware update

Sony has started rolling out the new PlayStation 4 firmware 2.51 version for the game console. The firmware rollout is gradual so it might take a while to show up on your console.

The new firmware 2.51 mostly tweaks the system software to improve stability and performance while using select features as well as applications. However, the change log doesn’t specify the features and applications that benefit the most from the patch. Read more »

Flurry of Mad Max game screenshots and artwork released

Avalanche Studios, the developers of Just Cause 2, announced the post-apocalyptic adventure game Mad Max game back in mid-2013. While the game development is the usual ‘work-in-progress’ mode, Avalanche has unleashed some gorgeous screenshots and artwork of the upcoming title.

Mad Max is going to be one heck of an open-world adventure for it features the heavily modded iconic 1974 Ford Falcon XB sedan and 50 other vehicles that one can drive. Of course, the game will let you mod the vehicles in-game by upgrading it from ground up to adding weaponry. Read more »

Simulation-based WWE 2K game arrives on iOS, Android

For those who grew up watching WWE fights and still think they are awesome, there’s something new coming your way. Take-two Interactive’s publishing label 2K announced a new WWE 2K mobile game for iOS and Android. The new title is now available for $7.99 from the Apple App Store and Google Play.

The Visual Concept team at 2K, along with n-Space have worked on the simulation aspects the wrestling game. Both teams have taken inspiration from the console editions of the same title, and ported it for touchscreen-based mobile devices. Read more »

New WhatsApp update enables Google Drive backup option

Last month, we reported that WhatsApp was working to integrate Google Drive backup to let you save a copy of messages and multimedia to Google’s cloud storage.

Lenovo working on Lollipop tablet with 64-bit MediaTek chipset

Earlier this year at MWC 2015, Lenovo had announced two Android tablets powered by MediaTek mobile chipset – Lenovo Tab 2 A10-70 and Lenovo Tab 2 A8. Both packing different set of specifications are set to arrive later this year for select markets.
