Google has released a new update for Google Glass, which should make one of the most popular uses of the device an even better experience. First up is HDR photography. Now when you take a picture with your Google Glass, the device will take multiple photos at different exposures and then combine them to create an image with greater dynamic range. This will allow you to see more details in the bright as well as dark areas of the shot that are otherwise not possible with a single exposure shot.
The other feature being added is the ability to add captions to your pictures before sharing them. Now, once you are done taking your picture, you will see an option to add a caption. Select it and then simply speak your caption and it will be added to your photo.

Apple has released an update for OS X, which brings the version number to 10.8.4. The latest update brings quite a few bug fixes, particularly to the Messages app and also a new version of Safari.
One of the key fixes in this update is to iMessage. The Messages app on OS X has a horrible habit of occasionally showing messages out of order, especially when communicating across multiple devices. Suddenly in the middle of the conversation, it would start showing previous messages, which stayed until you restarted the app. The new update aims to fix that problem. Read more »
After releasing the updated Gmail app for Android, Google has released an update for the iOS version of their popular mail app. Unlike the Android version, however, the iOS version is actually out on the store and can be downloaded right now.
The big change here is the same as on the Android version. The Gmail app for iOS now supports categories in inbox, meaning you now have your mail sorted into Primary, Social, Promotions and Updates. Gmail automatically sorts your mail into the correct category by looking at their content. Read more »

Eye-Fi cards bring some “smarts” to digital cameras, which haven’t really experienced a functionality boom like smartphones have. If price was the only thing keeping you from getting one, then have a look at the new Eye-Fi Mobi.
Just like the pricier Pro X2 card, the Mobi creates a Wi-Fi network that you can connect to with your iOS or Android device where the Eye-fi app will automatically download the photos. Qualcomm is working with Microsoft to introduce the Snapdragon 800 chipset to future Windows RT 8.1 devices, making it just the third to make it to the young platform after Snapdragon S4 (also Qualcomm’s chip) and NVIDIA’s Tegra 3.
The chip uses four Krait 400 cores with a maximum clock speed of 2.2 GHz, the Adreno 330 graphics chip and has support for LTE. Read more »

It’s been a while since we last heard any novelties surrounding Samsung and Intel’s joint work on the HTML5-based Tizen OS. Couple of months ago there were even rumors that both companies might announce the first Tizen device to run the latest version of the OS, which is currently 2.1, but alas.
That’s why for now we’ll have to do with the batch of screenshots of the OS that Tizen Indonesia has posted. They gives us a glimpse of what the camera interface looks like, as well as the email client and the web browser. Google has released the v4.5 update for the Gmail app for Android, which brings with it some UI changes, some of which are in tune with the recent changes seen on Gmail website.
The first thing you’ll notice is that Google has done away with the bottom bar that hosted buttons for new mail, search, labels, refresh and menu. Three of those have now been moved to the action bar on top and refresh has been included in the UI in the form of pull to refresh. The options in the drop down menu on top to move between your accounts, folders and labels has now been moved into a drawer on the left. Read more »

The official Adobe Reader for Windows Phone allows you to access a wide range of PDF types including the password protected documents. The app lets you view, open and search PDF documents and lets you zoom in on text or images. Read more »
The long expected sequel of the arcade game Plants vs Zombies will soon be available on iOS devices. PopCap Games has officially announced that its Plants vs Zombies 2: It’s About Time will be coming to the Apple platform on July 18.
