Samsung’s newest AMOLED displays on the Galaxy Tab S have received favorable reviews from everyone. But not content with just making a great display, Samsung wants you to know why it’s better in a new infographic.
The infographic, published on Samsung’s website, compares the AMOLED display to LCD and gives four reasons why the former is better than the latter.

Samsung and Barnes & Noble announced the Galaxy Tab 4 Nook early this month – a 7″ Android tablet based on Samsung’s Tab 4 devices but powered by B&N software. A week ago the two companies sent out invites for the big event on August 20.

Google’s Voice Search has come a long way since its inception, and the latest feature allows you to add multiple language support to your search queries.
Not only does this help multi-lingual users by adding up to five supported languages, but even has the ability to differentiate between them in the middle of your query. This means that you can start in English, then throw in a word here and there in another language and Google Voice will recognize it.
Google I/O conference in June shed some light on the upcoming Android L and Android Wear operating systems. Google’s presents this year for the developers and press attending the event was an Android Wear smartwatch – people got to choose between Samsung Gear Live, LG G Watch and Motorola Moto 360.
The Gear Live and G Watch were already in production and people who chose them got their presents immediately on site. But what about Moto 360 then? It was promised to ship as soon as the first batch enters mass production.
You can do so many things with your Xiaomi Mi 3 smartphone – enjoy Full HD videos on the 5″ IPS display, take a wonderful 13MP pictures with its camera, play the latest 3D games hassle-free courtesy of the Snapdragon 800 chipset, or listen unlimited music via the Baidu Online Music Service.
But it is surely not such a good idea to throw your beautiful Xiaomi Mi 3 covered in polycarbonate shell and Gorilla Glass 3 under a bus. Someone did this and the result isn’t peachy.
Often, the more subtle jabs are the best ones and LG seems to be doing just that.
LG’s YouTube page has a new header that says ‘There’s life beyond the galaxy’. There’s also an image of a galaxy on the phone’s screen. Surely, not much hint is required to understand where the jab is pointed at.
HTC has released its Zoe app for other Android devices. The app was available on the Play Store for a while now but could only be downloaded on HTC devices. This latest (beta) version, however, can be downloaded on select other non-HTC Android devices as well.
Functionality-wise, I expect the app to work just like it does on HTC phones. I say ‘expect’ because it did not work for me. The app asks you to log in to use it, which is pretty annoying as it is. If you manage to get past that, you could use Google or Facebook login, but it did not work for me and the app kept telling me it was unable to connect to HTC’s server.
