The iPhone 5S is yet to be seen in whole, but various alleged parts are already making the rounds on the Internet. The latest is a look at the front-facing camera of the next Apple phone, along with another unidentified component.

Leaked plastic iPhone casing hints at a budget Apple smartphone

Chatter about a budget iPhone has increased in past months, and now a photo of a plastic iPhone casing has emerged online pouring even more fuel into that particular rumor fire.

The plastic shell has a glossy white finish and features all the necessary cuttings for the camera, LED flash, volume rocker and silent mode button. The source of the rumor says that the shell measures 0.4-0.6mm thick and is “likely” bigger than the iPhone 4/4S. Read more »

Alleged iPad 5 case caught in Hong Kong Electronics Fair, suggests thinner and narrower device

We’ve heard this one before. Over in Hong Kong at a booth in the local Electronics Fair resides a case that was supposedly made for an early next-generation iPad mold.

If the case is legit we can gather that the fifth generation iPad will sports a thinner and narrower body, meaning if it retains its 9.7″ Retina then we can expect slimmer bezels on each side of it, in order for it to fit the smaller footprint. Read more »

Samsung Galaxy Ace 3 shows up in GLBenchmark database, runs Android 4.2 on Broadcom chipset

The Samsung Galaxy Ace 3 is rumored to hit in late May or early June and while there’s not much known about the mid-range droid, data from GLBenchmark gives us some info on the screen, OS and chipset.

The Galaxy Ace 3 is expected to have a 4” screen and GLBenchmark reports WVGA resolution. That would put it on par with the Galaxy S III mini with 233ppi pixel density. Read more »

Apple’s new “Spaceship” campus exceeds its initial budget by $2 billion

Apple’s new campus, which is being built, was estimated to cost around $3 billion to the Cupertino giant. However spending is obviously not going according to plan as the budget is said to have risen from $3 billion to $5 billion, according to a report from Bloomberg Businessweek.

This means Apple Campus 2 will be more expensive than the under construction World Trade Center complex. The Cupertino’s project was expected to be completed by 2015, but it’s apparently running behind schedule and it’s not said to open doors not earlier than 2016. The additional time would give the architects and the partners to cut the unnecessary cost, preventing the construction cost from rising even further. Read more »

Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Plus appears on Bluetooth.org

Samsung was expected to launch a bunch of other tablets along with its Galaxy Note 8.0 at the recently concluded Mobile World Congress. One of the more appealing of the rumored tablets was the Galaxy Tab 3 Plus and the good news is that the tablet launch might just be around the corner as it has been officially listed on the Bluetooth.org website.

The listing confirms the model number of the tablet to be GT-P8220 and the existence of an LTE variant. Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Plus was reported to boast a 2560×1600 resolution display and the tablet is expected to rub its shoulders against the likes of Google Nexus 10 and Apple Retina iPad. Read more »
