Google’s Voice Search has come a long way since its inception, and the latest feature allows you to add multiple language support to your search queries.
Not only does this help multi-lingual users by adding up to five supported languages, but even has the ability to differentiate between them in the middle of your query. This means that you can start in English, then throw in a word here and there in another language and Google Voice will recognize it. Read more »
HTC has released its Zoe app for other Android devices. The app was available on the Play Store for a while now but could only be downloaded on HTC devices. This latest (beta) version, however, can be downloaded on select other non-HTC Android devices as well.
Functionality-wise, I expect the app to work just like it does on HTC phones. I say ‘expect’ because it did not work for me. The app asks you to log in to use it, which is pretty annoying as it is. If you manage to get past that, you could use Google or Facebook login, but it did not work for me and the app kept telling me it was unable to connect to HTC’s server. Read more »
Although Bing’s far from being the king of the search engine roost, this hasn’t stopped Microsoft from adding features to try and lure users to use it to find what they’re looking for on the web.

So AT&T won’t be the first to introduce mobile LTE mediacast streaming, that honor belongs to Verizon, but the carrier doesn’t plan on leaving its customers out in the cold.

Following its launch on iOS and Android back in May, Foursquare’s new check-in app called Swarm is now available for Windows Phone.
It’s been released in Microsoft’s app store today, and it will work with Windows Phone 8.1. It brings with it the set of features based around checking into places that got separated from the company’s main app for iOS and Android recently. Read more »
Google has been trying to get more and more students using Chromebooks, and now, as part of that initiative, they’ve released Classroom.
It’s a teaching tool that is completely free to use, and should help teachers cut down on the amount of paper that is stacked on their desks. Read more »
HTC will make a beta version of the Zoe camera app available to all Android devices later this week. Re/code broke the news, which was subsequently confirmed by Drew Bamford – head of the HTC user interface team.

Google has updated its Google+ Android app with Chromecast support. While the company isn’t saying anything about the new feature, it’s making Google’s social network app even more social by allowing you to share the experience on your TV.
The Google+ app joins the numerous Chromecast enabled applications. The social app makes images appear fullscreen with text on top. This makes flipping through galleries a very cool experience. Read more »
The popular home media center application XBMC (soon to be known as Kodi) is running on Android TV like a champ. Keyan Mobli, who’s part of the XBMC dev community reports that it wasn’t too much work to get it going on Google’s TV version of Android, which is due to launch in the coming months.

Xiaomi plans to launch an update for its Xiaomi Mi 2 and Mi 2S smartphones by the end of this week. The update in question is MIUI v.6, which was first mentioned at the launch of the Xiaomi Mi4.
The latest version of MIUI will sport a more simplified look that’s free of clutter. It’ll be sporting the popular “flat design” with a bunch of new features. Read more »
Sony Mobile released six apps that showcase the water resistance of its flagship Xperia smartphones. Sony Underwater Apps is currently available in the United States for Xperia Z1s and Xperia Z.

Today a new firmware update for the OnePlus One started rolling out, albeit slowly. It’s expected to have reached all the devices out there by the end of this week and it brings with it the absolute latest version of Android – 4.4.4.
