WhatsApp now offers its own prepaid service through E-Plus in Germany, letting you use the popular messaging app for a fixed monthly amount. The offer also features unlimited usage of the app even if you don’t have any standing traffic left.

Google is rolling out a new feature to its Google Play store dubbed People. You know how you see your friends’ +1s on certain apps in the Play Store? Well now those apps have their separate own tab.

The People tab utilizes Google+’s recommendations in the Play Store in its mobile form and has its very own certain style – shown above. On the web Google Play store you can see the same reviews and ratings by your friends with the “From Familiar Faces” option. It has only been a week since Microsoft launched its Office suite on the Apple iPad but it has already been downloaded more than 12 million times.

Microsoft seems really pleased by this so it went on Twitter to boast a little. Office offers free viewing Word, Excel and PowerPoint documents. In order to edit and create, however, one would need to shell out $10 a month for Office 365 subscription. Back in February, we talked about BlackBerry’s plans to release premium stickers in its BBM service. The feature was initially released as part of the limited external beta app but is now available for all users on all the platforms where the service is available.

The stickers need to be downloaded from the official store from within the app and most of them are paid. I’m not sure how interested users will be in paying for stickers, that too on BBM, but BlackBerry clearly thinks it is doing the right thing here. Read more »

After months of rumors and speculation, Microsoft Office for iPad got officially released. The productivity suite is available in the App Store as three separate apps – Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Google’s smart HDMI stick Chromecast, which turns any HDMI-capable TV into a smart TV with streaming capabilities from Youtube, Netflix, Hulu, and Google Play movies among others, has become officially available outside of the US.

OnePlus’ upcoming One smartphone is going to sport always-on voice commands similar to what the Moto X premiered with. The information comes straight from the source and there’s even a poll going to see which command the phone will take – “Ok, OnePlus!”, “Wake up, OnePlus!” or “Alakazam”.
