LG’s new tagline: “LTE, it’s always LG”

by 10 comments

LG announced no less than six new phones throughout the week and are showcasing them all tonight at their pre-MWC LG Mobile Media Preview. And just to make sure no one missed how big they are staking on the LTE wireless technology, they created a new tagline for themeselves: “LTE, its always LG”. LG reportedly holds more LTE patents than any other mobile manufacturer in the world, so it makes sense that that they would want to stand behind their 4G technology in the long run.

As we all know, more phones also means more booth ladies to carry them all, which is a plus in everyone’s book.

Check out our hands-on from the pre-MWC LG Mobile Media Preview here.

by 26 comments

Not really a surprise but it’s worth noting that just like the brand Sony Ericsson, its website www.sonyericsson.com is no longer in existence. Entering that URL now directs you to a brand new website: www.sonymobile.com.

Sony has completely revamped the site and it looks nothing like the old one. Along with a new design and navigation you would also notice that the number of products on display has vastly been reduced. Read more »

BLU Studio 5.3 in white makes a point out of not being your typical budget smartphone

by 69 comments

Let’s face it: the BLU Studio 5.3, which is on our hands today, looks like anything but a budget minded Android smartphone. It is very big and very white. And yes: it also packs two SIM card slots and two (!) homescreen buttons.

Without a closer look at its hardware and specs, the BLU Studio 5.3 can easily pass for a direct competitor to the mighty Samsung Galaxy Note. But it is not. It costs less than half the Korean royalty, and doesn’t have the ambition to go head to head with it Read more »
