Pegman returns to Google Maps with new update

You may have noticed that after the latest major Google Maps update for desktop browsers, an important figure suddenly went missing: Pegman. This move made many users frustrated by their inability to quickly access Street View and nearby images by dragging the icon onto the map, and more than a few people opted to continue using Google Maps’ classic view.

Now, the latest update brings back Pegman, and makes viewing images, panoramas, and even indoor areas even easier by having all of them appear on the map whenever you grab hold of Pegman. Read more »

Pebble gets huge update, including iOS 7 notifications and SDK v2.0

The Pebble smartwatch has been gaining in popularity since its release, and the promising Kickstarter project has led to a full-fledged company now with some 190,000 Pebbles sold worldwide. With this latest update, Pebble has announced full support for iOS 7 notifications.

Facebook’s mobile ads boost Q3 results

Facebook’s latest third quarter earnings report shows things are looking up for the social media giant after a rough entrance into public trading following its IPO last year.

Samsung takes a large bite out of Apple’s tablet market share in Q3

According to the latest report by IDC, Samsung has been able to achieve a year-over-year growth of some 123%, and has increased its tablet market share by some 8 points.

Stolen truck containing $14 million worth of LG G2′s recovered

Over the weekend a truck containing a shipment of LG G2 smartphones valued at some $14 million was stolen from a truck stop in Gary, Indiana.

Today, Kentucky State Police has recovered the truck full of lost goods intact, and has apprehended a suspect after he allegedly crashed a tractor trailer carrying the stolen cargo into a utility pole. Read more »

Nokia Lumia 800 works after being lost underwater for 3.5 months

Does the animation toggle in iOS 7.0.3 make a difference?

Apple changed around many things with the iOS 7 update, one of which was introducing a whole new set of animations for unlocking the phone and closing apps and folders .

But many users have complained that about the speed of the new animations is just too slow, and once the iOS 7.0.3. update allowed them, disabled them outright. Apple can’t shake supply shortage rumors for the new iPad mini
