Xolo launched its newest smartphone dubbed Q1010i only a few days ago. The device was said to be designed to bring excellent camera experienced at an affordable price tag.
The Xolo Q1010i comes with a quad-core 1.3 GHz Cortex A7 CPU along with Mali 400MP2 GPU on a MediaTek MT6582 chipset. The device also sports an 8 megapixel Sony Exmor R sensor with f/2.0 aperture, 1.4 micron pixel size and a 5-element lens. The original Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 slate was released in August, 2012, initially running on Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich. Samsung released only one firmware update during the past two years flavoring the tablet with Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean OS.
Nowadays there are already two new Note tablets – Note 10.1 2014 Edition and Note Pro 12.2, but as it turns out the pioneer was not forgotten. Nokia joined Microsoft last Friday officially but since today is the first working day after the agreement was done Microsoft has issued an ad on YouTube that portrays the big happy family as Not Like Everybody Else.
In the ad Microsoft is the colorful person out of a crowd of black and white street-dwellers in a black and white murky world. As he moves along, being cool and different he sees another colorful person (naturally using a Nokia slate) and finally at the end of the ad we see the colorful protagonist through our own point of view (suggesting perhaps we’re black and white as well). A leaked video demo reveals the HP Slatebook 14 – an Android-powered laptop with a 14″ 1080p touchscreen. It’s not a hybrid (detachable tablet + keyboard dock) like the Slatebook X2, nor is it a dual-boot device, it’s pure Android.
The specs are a bit unclear, but the video is promising a slim and lightweight design. Without the need for a second battery behind the screen like on the Slatebook X2, this new device should be thinner than 20mm. Read more »
Samsung announced today it has begun mass producing of the industry’s first 3-bit NAND-based SSD designed specifically for servers and large data centers. The new 3-bit NAND technology is going to enable data centers operate more efficiently and manage heavy workload better. Ultimately, this would benefit complex queries common with social networking, web browsing and email.
The new PM853T SSD will be available in 240GB, 480GB and 960GB sizes and will deliver a 30% boost in manufacturing efficiency compared to 2-bit NAND SSDs. Read more »
Samsung has announced a new series of audio products, called Level, which comprises of three headphones and one portable speaker. The three headphones include the Level Over, Level On and Level In, and Level Box is the portable speaker.
The Level Over are a pair of wireless Bluetooth circumaural headphones. They have 50mm drivers with neodymium magnets and use active noise cancellation using dual microphones with support for the aptX codec. Read more »

The LG G2 mini has a lot to prove being the little heir to a very capable battery performer in the face of the LG G2. The G2 recently received Android KitKat and soared from a 62 hour endurance rating to an 82 hour one.

Facebook released its financial results for the first quarter of 2014 on Wednesday. The company reported revenue of $2.5 billion, up by 72% over the same period last year.

Another superhero movie, another superhero movie tie-in game. We see these kind of games pop up quite frequently and rarely do they ever do justice to the movie, let alone to gaming. But people keep making them because, well, who doesn’t like money?
The previous The Amazing Spider-Man game for mobile was mediocre at best (to be honest, the movie wasn’t significantly better). This year, we have a sequel for the movie that promises to be bigger and better than the last one and like clockwork, there is a game that goes along with it.
