This time, it’s cards that tell you when a certain product is available in a store near you. If you walk past a store, Google Now will show a card with items and their pricing available in that store, items that you have looked up in the past and are interested in purchasing. Read more »

Oppo Find 7a is capable of capturing up to 180 degrees panorama shots and the resulting images have up to 15MP resolution. Lenovo has announced two new Chromebook models, the Lenovo N20 and N20p. Both machines are nearly identical in terms of specifications, but while the N20 has a standard design, the N20p display flips backward and has a touchscreen.
Both machines come with a 11.6-inch, 1366×768 resolution display, Haswell-based Intel Celeron processor, 2GB RAM and 16GB storage space. Read more »

The iPhone 5s debuted with a fingerprint scanner for added security, but it turns out Siri can be a double agent – bypassing a pass code or even a TouchID-secured screen on iOS 7.1.1 is as easy as asking politely (the fingerprint scanner isn’t 100% trustworthy either).

It’s no secret that Apple is working on a smartwatch/wearable of some sort that is expected to be unveiled some time this year. But while the competition is trying to get their own smartwatches out before then, actual watchmaker Swatch is after something else.
The Swiss company is trying to acquire the trademark for the name iWatch, widely believed to be the name of Apple’s smartwatch. Swatch already has a range of watches called iSwatch and thinks a competitor having the iWatch name will cause confusion, so it will either acquire the trademark or block Apple from doing so. Sony announced the Xperia T2 Ultra back at CES in January 2014. It fills a growing market segment of large screen mid-range smartphones. The 6-inch phablet only has 720p resolution and is not powered by the fastest Snapdragon chipset around. But it offers one of Sony’s latest Exmor RS 13MP cameras with all the bells and whistles that you’d expect from a cameraphone.
At 7.65mm, the Sony Xperia T2 Ultra is really slim despite the generous battery capacity of 3000 mAh. The only thing missing is perhaps the water-proofing Sony’s high-end smartphones have been known for. Read more »
