Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 headed to AT&T

After its Wi-Fi-only release form last month, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 is now on its way to AT&T in 4G LTE form. It will be joining the recently launched Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 in the carrier’s roster.

Scribble is an upcoming pen that can scan any color and then use it to write or draw – even with real ink. It’s got a built-in 16-bit RGB color sensor, and it comes with a mobile app that will stay in sync with all the colors that the pen has scanned.

Samsung Galaxy S5 gets premium perks in India, including free repair pickup

The Samsung Galaxy S5 saw some criticism from Indian customers due to its high initial retail price. After a healthy price drop, Samsung is hoping to make the Galaxy S5 even more enticing by offering free in-house pick-up for any repair work, as well as a one-time screen replacement for Galaxy S5 devices for just INR 990 ($17).

The new deal also includes the option of trading in and old smartphone for at least INR 10,000 ($169) credit towards the purchase of a Galaxy S5. Read more »

SwiftKey goes free on Android, brings a new premium theme store

Popular Android keyboard application SwiftKey today decided to drop its $3.99 price tag and go free on the Play Store. The change comes with the latest update, that also brings with it many other features.

One of the features is a new content store that will let you download premium themes for the keyboard. SwiftKey previously came with a handful of themes built-in, but now you can download more from their store. Those who previously purchased the keyboard will get premium themes worth $4.99 for free. 1Password now available on Android

Popular password manager app 1Password has finally been released on Android in proper form. The app is available on iOS, Mac and PC but the previous Android version was completely outdated and not fully functional.

For those that are not aware, 1Password generates strong passwords that you can use on websites. The app automatically enters them for you as well and logs you in with one click on websites so you don’t have to remember them. It protects your passwords with a master password and syncs them across platforms using Dropbox. Read more »

Viber updates desktop app, reaches 100 million users

Viber has released a new version of its desktop app for Windows, OS X and Linux that puts a lot of effort and focus into stickers. The messaging company has also announced an important milestone – more than 100 million users are now using its service.

For those of you that aren’t familiar with Viber stickers these are basically emoticons on steroids that are downloaded in sets – some of which are free and others cost a few bucks.
