Nokia talks Lumia 925 display, gives you an app to adjust color saturation and temperature of the screen

Aluminum construction and OIS camera of the Nokia Lumia 925 got the most attention when the new WP8 flagship was announced, but the screen is pretty interesting too. It’s an AMOLED display like the Lumia 928 has and not an LCD like on the Lumia 920.

Google revamps Maps for mobile and web with new UI, Google+ sync and personalized maps

Leaks of the redesigned Maps spoiled the Google’s surprise, which was supposed to be the official release of the revamped service at Google I/O. Launching in the summer, the new Google Maps will sport an updated user interface as well as deeper Google+ synchronization

Nokia releases camera samples from the Lumia 925

Nokia just announced the Lumia 925 in an event in London. The phone is basically a thinner, lighter version of the Lumia 920 with aluminum frame and some new software features.

Among the new software features are several new additions to the camera. Even though the hardware seems identical to the one on the Lumia 920, the new features do let you play around with it a bit more and get some interesting results. Read more »

The BLU Life View is certainly not what passes as a budget-friendly Android smartphone these days. With a 5.7” HD IPS display, quad-core CPU, dual-SIM functionality, and a metal clad body, the handset looks like anything but a device with a sub-$300 price tag.

Nokia Lumia 928 showcases it’s low-light imaging and audio recording prowess in unofficial tests

Some lucky fellow apparently had a Nokia Lumia 928 for quite a while, as he took it to a large number of concerts and shot videos with it. Concerts are dark venues with bright flashing lights and loud music – just about as bad as it can get for a video camera. The Lumia 928 however, actually did a pretty good job at it.

The camera has been optimized for low light, but the HAAC microphones are perhaps even more impressive as they captured clean audio despite the thundering music. Read more »

It seems that screen size may be more than just a numbers game played between smartphone makers, as the most recent poll from Strategy Analytics reveals that most users now prefer a 4.5-inch screen.

Alleged Motorola X shows up in GFXBenchmark scores, runs Android 4.2.2 on Snapdragon 600 chipset

With Google I/O getting close (it kicks off in just two days) we were bound to see Motorola X rumors heat up. A device claiming to be it surfaced in GFXBenchmark scores as Motorola XT1058 (supposedly AT&T’s version of the Motorola X).

Ubisoft releases new ‘Watch Dogs’ gameplay video

We have already seen some gameplay videos of Ubisoft’s upcoming open world action-adventure game Watch Dogs. It is easily one of the most interesting games that is currently in development due to the incredibly detailed gameplay environment and the ways in which you can interact with it. The fact that it looks great also helps.

Ubisoft has now released a new gameplay video that shows us a bit more of the gameplay. At its heart Watch Dogs is an open world action-adventure game much like the Grand Theft Auto games but here you can hack into the city’s various electronic devices and control them through the game’s interface to your advantage. HTC releases two new commercials showing BlinkFeed

HTC has released two new commercials for the HTC One. Both ads focus on one feature of the phone, and that is the controversial BlinkFeed found in the latest Sense 5.

Nokia spent a lot of time releasing teaser videos for the Lumia 928 and then without much fanfare announced the phone itself (even the Asha 501 got its own event). Anyway, the ad campaign continues with the first TV ad.
