Apple looking to automate production of iPhone batteries

Reports out of China indicate that Apple is heading towards automation of the iPhone battery production, resulting in one less labor-intensive iPhone assembly process.

LG grabs 33 Red Dot awards, G Flex pronounced Best of the Best

LG is going to celebrate today, as the company took home 33 Red Dot product design awards, including two “Best of the Best” ones for the LG G Flex and Smart 3D Blu-ray Home Cinema system.

LG has managed to make its way to the top out of 4,800 entries at this year’s Red Dot Awards. Last year, the company had 27 of its devices recognized, with one “Best of the Best” award for its Curved OLED TV. Read more »

Sailfish OS Android port going at full steam, watch it run on Galaxy S III LTE

Oppo Find 7 went official yesterday in two versions – one with a 1080p display and one with QHD (2560 x 1440 pixels) screen. Nokia takes a jab at Apple over 8GB iPhone 5c

Today Apple announced the availability of an 8GB iPhone 5c. The flavor is already available for purchase and costs €549 – just €50 less than its 16GB sibling. This is quite unattractive pricing considering the phone comes with year and a half old hardware and still costs good €100 more than the 32GB Samsung Galaxy Note 3.

Anyway, we are not the only one to dislike the Apple’s overpriced gadget. Finnish manufacturer Nokia grabbed the opportunity and used it to make fun of the 8GB iPhone 5c over Twitter. Read more »

Galaxy S5 gets a full review before launch

The first official review of the Galaxy S5 is out, even though the phone is still some way off from being officially available. The review touches upon various aspects of the phone’s performance, talking about some of the new features and how it fares compared to its predecessor.

Starting with the design, the S5 is physically larger than the S4 but it more than makes up for being water resistant. Although Samsung made it clear that the phone is only water resistant and not waterproof, as you can see in the image above the phone can safely be left underwater for a while without damaging it.
