Sony has allowed users to unlock the boot loaders of their phones since 2011 (barring carrier restrictions) and now the company is re-launching the service with improved usability. The unlock process consists of just three steps and after the update the tool’s web page will be more helpful in guiding you through the process.

A group of around 20 men armed with submachine guns raided a Samsung factory in Campinas, Brazil, late last night.
The thieves entered the factory disguised as part of the night shift, loaded up seven trucks worth of smartphones, tablets and notebooks, and got away with some $36 million worth of goods. Read more »
The Sony Xperia C3 went live today, promising to reinvent the whole selfie business with its 5MP front-facing camera that comes with an LED flagsh.

Foxconn, Apple’s primary Chinese manufacturer for its iPhone smartphones , is allegedly incorporating some 10,000 robots into its assembly line process in anticipation of heightened iPhone 6 production.
Foxconn is still currently in the final testing stages of the robots, which are each expected to produce 30,000 smartphones. Read more »
Two year contracts are the norm in the US, and Samsung knows that. The company also knows that many people who bought a Galaxy S III in 2012 are soon due to renew their service agreements, and it would like them to choose a Galaxy S5 this time around.

OnePlus One will be updated with a CyanogenMod ROM based on Android L. This will happen in three months after Google launches the final Android L build in the Fall.

Nokia, or should we say Microsoft, has introduced its latest monthly competition through Instagram, where Lumia users are given the chance to showcase their macro-shooting skills.

The recently announced Huawei Honor 6 flagship isn’t even on the market yet but some industrious folk got their hands on it and did what comes natural to tech geeks – they took it apart. While it’s not coming from iFixit the people who took apart the Honor 6 (also called Glory 6 in some markets) awarded it a 7/10 separability score.

The HTC One Max phablet and the newly released Oppo Find 7 with QHD display are the latest devices to get official CyanogenMod support. Their proper CM11 builds are already available for download.
