Yesterday at IFA, Samsung announced its much awaited Galaxy Note 4 smartphone. In case you missed the keynote, Samsung has released a new video that shows all the new features and specifications of the phone in brief.
One of the important changes on the Note 4 is the design. The phone now features an aluminum frame with the faux leather back from the Note 3. There is also the 2.5D glass up front that flows into the chamfered edges of the aluminum with metal buttons on the side. Read more »
By now you probably know that Samsung unveiled the Galaxy Note 4 earlier today. Yet here we are, mere hours later, and the company’s chief competitor from its native South Korea, LG, is already mocking it.
The image above was posted on Twitter by LG’s arm in Jordan. It takes aim at a new feature that lets Galaxy Note 4 owners take selfies by placing a finger on top of the heart rate monitor on the back of the phablet, then taking said finger off of it. Read more »
We’ve managed to extract the official camera samples from the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge. If we are to trust the embedded camera information, those were actually taken with a Galaxy Note 4. But since both devices feature identical camera departments, it really doesn’t matter.
Both Note devices feature front 3.7MP snappers with f/1.9 aperture for selfies, while the rear sensors are of 16MP resolution, probably ISOCELL – the same as on the Galaxy Alpha. Read more »

This is Sony’s latest mini – the Xperia Z3 Compact – and it has a good claim one the title for the best portable smartphone on the market. As such it will pose a serious threat to Samsung’s Galaxy Alpha and the coveted Apple iPhone 6, to name a few.
Last year’s Xperia Z1 Compact was a first in many ways and carved a name for itself as a device that doesn’t want to be considered a mini in anything but the size and a company that doesn’t shy away from a challenge. Read more »
Motorola Moto G 4G turned out a great smartphone on its own and an excellent upgrade over the original Moto G. It adds 4G LTE connectivity, a microSD card slot, a brighter screen backlight and a gyro sensor to the already well proven hardware mix of the 4.5″ HD display, Snapdragon 400 chipset, 5MP camera and 2,070 mAh battery.
The new smartphone is running on the latest available Android 4.4.4 KitKat revision, but so is the Moto G already. We didn’t expect much of a difference in the battery performance, but we were wrong. Read more »

The Sony Xperia M2 Aqua added dust proofing and water resistance to the original Xperia M2 but left the majority of internals intact without change. Among the untouched parts is the 2,300mAh battery so one would only expect the Xperia M2 Aqua to perform along the lines of the 67-hour Xperia M2.
However there’s one more side to the story – while the Xperia M2 launched (and we tested it) with Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, the M2 Aqua has Android 4.4.2 KitKat and that has led to a big improvement on the battery performance. Find the numbers after the break. Read more »
