Angry Birds Star Wars has just got its first update – the planet Hoth. It adds 20 new Hoth-themed levels, new pink (Leia) bird, bonus levels and AT-ATs.

It might be six years old and have a replacement lurking right around the corner, but numbers say that the Xbox 360 is still one hell of a gaming console. Microsoft announced that it sold 750,000 units thanks to the shopping frenzy surrounding the Black Friday week.

Nintendo announced the Wii Mini – it’s a smaller and lighter version of the original Wii console sans the internet connection.
The new Wii Mini is intended as a gaming only device and is able to run all original Wii games. GameCube compatibility won’t be available though. Read more »

Rockstar has released a new trailer for the upcoming GTA V. The video does not feature any gameplay sequences but gives a look at the general setting of the game.
GTA V will take place in the fictional location called Los Santos in San Andreas. It will be Rockstar’s biggest open world game yet and feature three new protagonists, all of whom will be playable. The three characters have different stories that intertwine as the game progress and eventually you will be switching between the characters as they work together to accomplish a single goal. Angry Birds Star Wars is, as Rovio likes to call it, Angry Birds’ biggest adventure yet. The game is based on the story of the Star Wars franchise and has birds dressed as the characters from the Rebel Alliance whereas the pigs are dressed as the Galactic Empire. After teasing it for over a month, Rovio has finally released Angry Birds Star Wars. The game is available for download on iOS, Android and OS X and although a Windows Phone and Windows 8 versions are promised neither are currently available for download. [Update: Now available for Windows Phone 8]
The game is priced at $0.99 on iOS for the iPhone version and $2.99 for the iPad version. Meanwhile, Android has two versions, one that is free but comes with ads and another ‘HD’ version, which despite the name looks identical to the standard version but costs $2.99 and does not include ads.
