Nintendo announced the Wii Mini – it’s a smaller and lighter version of the original Wii console sans the internet connection.
The new Wii Mini is intended as a gaming only device and is able to run all original Wii games. GameCube compatibility won’t be available though.
The Wii Mini will be available only in matte black with red boarder and comes with a red Wii Remote Plus and a red Nunchuk controller.
Wii Mini launches on December 7 on $99.99. Unfortunately it’s going to be exclusive to Canada initially and there is no info if and when it will become available elsewhere. Canada! Really, Nintendo?
