HTC One’s Ultrapixel camera didn’t get quite the best reception but the company has issued not one but two updates since, which supposedly improve on the quality of the photos.
Samsung also issued an update for its Galaxy S4 flagship, which tweaks the camera performance as well. Naturally we wanted to see what those are all about and took the two hottest smartphones of the season for another shooting session. Read more »

We’ve managed to spend some quality time with an AT&T version of the HTC One. Here’s a quick look at the differences between it and the international version which we extensively reviewed. Read more »
Sony Xperia ZL has landed at our office. It’s the not-so-tough Xperia Z sibling, powered by the same hardware platform and running on identical Android version with the same custom UI (launcher).
The Xperia ZL may not be water or dust-proof, but offers a few extra goodies over the Z model – a hardware camera key, an infrared port, а smaller footprint and a much better grip, thanks to the textured rear panel. Read more »
Having finalized our review of the Sony Xperia E, we’re ready to show you are battery test results from the single-SIM member of the Sony Xperia E family.
The Xperia E features virtually the same hardware as its dual-SIM counterpart – a 3.5-inch HVGA display, a 1 GHz single-core CPU, and a 1530 mAh battery. It does, however, run on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and doesn’t have the extra SIM card to drain it. Read more »
The original Cut the Rope has been a rousing success. Known for its simple yet challenging gameplay and adorable animation style, the game was a hit with all age groups. It later spawned a sequel in the form of Cut the Rope: Experiments, which introduced new levels and gameplay mechanics.
Now, a year and a half after Experiments came out, developers ZeptoLab have released the third installment in the series, labelled Cut the Rope: Time Travel. The new game features the now familiar gameplay with some new twists, such as an extra character and not one but two candies in each level. Let’s see how this one performs. Read more »
The Nokia Lumia 520 is the cheapest smartphone of the Lumia range in existence and Nokia dubs it as the “The more fun smartphone”. But for how long can the “fun” last? Our extensive battery test comes into play to answer this very question.
For the money, the Lumia 520 isn’t a badly spec’d phone. It is built around a 4″ display and features a 1GHz dual-core Krait processor with Adreno 305 graphics on Snapdragon S4 Plus platform (MSM8227). Read more »
The freshly announced HTC First made its way to our office. The AT&T exclusive smartphone, as its name mildly suggests, is the first to come with the Facebook Home Android launcher out of the box.

The Nokia Lumia 720 is the thinnest Lumia yet at 9mm, but it’s tied with the Lumia 920 for biggest battery in the lineup at 2,000mAh. The Qualcomm MSM8227 chipset is very efficient though as we already saw with the Lumia 620, which only had a 1,300mAh battery.
Will that make the Nokia Lumia 720 is the WP8 battery endurance champ? Read more »
Samsung is at the forefront of Android phablets and its latest gadget is for people who want a bigger, more affordable Galaxy Note. The Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 just went official and we had a chance to handle one for a couple of minutes.
Unlike the Note, the Galaxy Mega does not have an S Pen but it does have the S4’s Air View so you can still perform some of the same things as you can with the S Pen. That’s not the only thing the Mega has borrowed from the S4 either. Read more »
The Phiaton Moderna MS 200 are the Korean manufacturer’s top of the line in-ear headphones. Made from exotic materials such as carbon fiber and featuring eye-catching design, the headphones aim to offer enough value for money to sway you away from the offerings of the well-established premium brands.
This not the first time I’m spending quality time with a Phiaton product. A couple of months back, I was impressed by the Phiaton PS 210 BTNC wireless headset. Naturally, given my past experience, I approached the MS 200 with high expectations. Join me to find out if the headset could live up to them. Read more »
The Nokia Lumia 720 came back for some more face time after our brief encounter at the MWC. The phone is similar to the Lumia 820 and it actually offers better specs in a few categories. For one, its screen can detect your fingers even through gloves. The curved Gorilla Glass 2 and ClearBlack tech make the 4.3” WVGA screen very good if not quite as nice as the 820’s AMOLED display.
There’s more too – the Lumia 720 is 9mm thick, the thinnest Lumia yet but it has a 2,000mAh battery, larger than the one in the the thicker and heavier 820. Also, the F/1.9 aperture on the camera is the brightest we’ve seen on a mobile phone yet. Read more »
Disney is no stranger to making video games. Over the years, there have been several games released on various platform with the Disney logo on them. But when asked to name any of these, you’d be hard-pressed to come up with even one.
Things are different on the mobile platform, however. When asked to name some Disney games on the mobile, names like ‘Where’s My Water?’, ‘Where’s My Perry?’ and ‘Temple Run: Oz’ spring to mind. Now the company has released a new game called Mittens for iOS. Let’s see how this one fares. Read more »
The list of official Samsung Galaxy S4 accessories is impressive, but the one that got the most people interested, is the S View Cover.

Sounds good on paper, but is it worth the $70 price tag? Follow us to find out. Read more »
There are big, complicated games, with guns, cars and explosions, missions to complete, stories to follow and characters to remember. Then there are simple games with just one objective where you have to do one thing over and over again till you get it right. PUK falls in that latter category.
In PUK, you hit larger circles with smaller circles before the time runs out. That’s basically all you do. But despite the simple premise, PUK is fiendishly addictive and one of the best games to have come out on mobile in recent times. Let’s see what makes it so good. Read more »
