Here is a bummer. The flagship Galaxy S III has a redesigned MHL port and that’s incompatible with the previous HDMI MHL adapters available for other Samsung products.

The reason is very simple – despite the USB MHL port looks the same, the phone uses the connector pins in a different way. Thus your old MHL HDMI cables won’t work on the newly released S III. Read more »

The Facebook App Center that we talked about before has now gone live. Currently, it is only available on the web version of Facebook but it should soon arrive on iOS and Android as well.

Like we said before, the App Center will house all the web apps and games that you currently play on Facebook in one place and also add mobile apps to the mix. Acer unveiled the Iconia Tab A110 – a 7” tablet based on the quad-core NVIDIA Tegra 3 platform. It measures 11.4mm in thickness and weighs 370g.

Dropbox has launched an update for its Android application bringing its version number to 2.1.4.

While some might not think it is fair, it surely hasn’t stopped NVIDIA from working with developers to bring special versions of games that are designed to take full advantage of their Tegra hardware and add additional effects and features not found on the non-Tegra versions of these games. We have already seen games like Shadowgun, Samurai II: Vengeance and Riptide GP being optimized for Tegra 3 and now NVIDIA has announced five new games at E2 2012 that will be part of NVIDIA’s TegraZone.

The first of these is the game that you see above called Dead Trigger, which we have talked about once before. This is a first person zombie shooter made by the same people who brought you Shadowgun and Samurai II. All signs point at a launch of the updated Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 in the nearest future, people. An updated version of the slate got handled on YouTube, showcasing a number of serious improvements, compared to the Note 10.1, which we encountered back in April.

The updated Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 will feature a quad-core Exynos CPU and an S-Pen slot built in – right in line with the previous leaks on the subject. Read more »

Samsung just brought the Galaxy S III to the market and it immediately had to face an Apple iPhone 4S in a drop test.

AndroidAuthority decided to redo the drop test from last year, when the Galaxy S II met the iPhone 4S on the sidewalk curb, and survived thanks to its Gorilla Glass screen. Now, the Galaxy S III comes with Gorilla Glass 2, so it’s interesting to see how it’ll fare in the same challenge. Read more »

By now you may have heard about or used the picplz service. They had mobile apps on iOS and Android that allowed you to capture, edit and upload image on to their servers. From there the users had the option to share the image to other social networking services.

picplz has now announced that it will be shutting down permanently on July 3. Their iOS and Android apps have also been pulled from the App Store and the Play Store respectively. Read more »
