Nokia and HTC take jabs at Samsung Galaxy S5 on Twitter

With the online forums and the social networks already abuzz after the Samsung Galaxy S5 unveiling, some of the Korean manufacturer’s rivals added their take as well. Both Nokia and HTC took jabs at the newly announced Samsung flagship on Twitter.

As you can see above, Nokia is as blunt as it gets. The Finnish manufacturer posted an image of a Nokia Lumia device along with the phrase “Not the Samesung.” Read more »

Lenovo Yoga Tablet 10 HD+ goes official, we have live photos

Lenovo officially announced the Yoga Tablet 10 HD+ Android 4.3 Jelly Bean slate. As its name suggests, the newcomer features a 10” wide-view display with a resolution of 1,920 x 1,200 pixels.

Lenovo’s latest Android slate features the same design as the Yoga 10 which arrived in October last year. It features a kickstand with three different modes which include reading, gaming, and viewing images or video. Read more »

LG G Flex for AT&T hands-on

LG G Flex made its way officially to the United States, so we managed to spend some one-on-one time with an AT&T version of the self-healing curved phablet. The LTE device is also offered by T-Mobile and Sprint across the Atlantic.

Facebook agrees to purchase WhatsApp for $19 billion

Facebook has agreed to purchase WhatsApp. The social networking giant will pay the staggering $19 billion for the massively popular cross-platform messaging client in cash and stock ($4 billion in cash, $12 billion in stock, and additional $3 billion in restricted stock which will vest over the four years after the deal’s closing).

Sony considers selling its Vaio PC division

According to e report by Nikkei, Sony is planning to sell its Vaio division which designs and manufactures personal computers. The move is dictated by the business unit’s poor performance, as well as the Japanese giant’s desire to shift its focus on smartphones.
